The Center for the Study of Natural Oncology, Inc.

437 South Highway 101, Suite 201

Solana Beach, CA 92075

To Whom It May Concern:

The Center for the Study of Natural Oncology, Inc. has been successful in securing some funding for its program expansion this past year. However, the resources raised have been quickly usurped by serving people who have cancer and come to us for help. Funding is challenging at best. Accordingly, we are encouraging your company and/or foundation to support CSNOÂ’s (The Center for the Study of Natural Oncology, Inc.) operational and program concerns in the amount of $50,000 per month. $25,000 per month will be placed in our $10,000,000 Endowment Fund. This contribution will help increase the revenue for optimized and expanded services in education, research, and care for people with cancer.

The most rewarding moments at CSNO happen when we help people in need find the right treatment for their cancer as the attached brochure/insert and following letter indicate:

“My life was a fairy tale, absolutely perfect, until the phone rang. I heard Gregory on the line saying, “ Â….malignant tumor in my liver.” In one split second my world shattered.

I immediately searched the internet for some direction and within minutes I found The Center for the Study of Natural Oncology. I contacted them and a doctor took my call immediately. I was sobbing and scared. He reassured me that there was a great deal we could do and suggested we start with a well-thought out corrective protocol that would not conflict with our other choices.

In the meantime, we went to see conventionally-trained doctors. None of them offered us advice on diet, nutrition, lifestyle or even of our bodyÂ’s natural ability to heal.

CSNO, however, had already given us hope we knew the less beaten path of natural medicine would yield better success for us. So when we heard the dire predications from the other doctors, we smiled and thanked them for their time. After giving Gregory an imminent death sentence, we saw their befuddled faces as they watched us walk away happily away. We knew something they didnÂ’t-natural oncology was the way to go.

We heeded the direction of the doctors at the CSNO clinic. They made house visits, accepted calls at all hours of the day and gave us the utmost care and respect. We never felt alone.

Through the efforts of this group, we extended GregoryÂ’s life 13 months after diagnosis when it was predicted he would only live a couple of months at best. We were given an enormous gift-for us, every moment was precious. No touch or look was taken for granted. Every word was sweet between us was every gesture. For this reason Gregory gave me instructions to start a foundation to help this clinic to assist others in receiving the blessings that we were given. Our eternal thanks goes to the Center for the Study of Natural Oncology because they gave us precious time to be together and love deeply.

Negrita Jayde, Life partner & Soulmate

Founded in the year 2000, The Center for the Study of Natural Oncology, Inc. is based in Solana Beach, CA, just minutes from San Diego, helps and supports people with cancer achieve their optimum health, utilizing all methods and means available, and sustains them while going through their choice of cancer treatments.

The Center for the Study of Natural Oncology, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization in association with the Loren Parks Foundation and headed by Vincent Gammill, Sc. D.,

Phil Munoz, M. D., and Harve Kaufman, Ph. D,

Research

The Center for the Study of Natural Oncology, Inc. is dedicated in its search to cure cancer and offers 30 years of experience and research on what has been effective and what has been ineffective. Currently we are putting our resources into investigating better ways to reverse:

(1) multiple drug resistance

(2) cachexia

(3) immune anergy

(4) ascites and pleural effusion

(5) inflammatory conditions

(6) lymphedema

(7) sepsis

We are also tracking methods for fast and accurate monitoring of progress as well as amassing all cancer related literature worldwide. We are coordinating our efforts with other clinics and laboratories throughout the world.

Education/Care

The “One-Stop Cancer Care” Program is set up at The Center for the Study of Natural Oncology, Inc. in Solana Beach, CA, and San Diego Clinic in Tijuana, Mexico, and is serving to provide information to people with cancer from all over the world. Our major objective is to finesse cancer into a sustainable remission. Under these circumstances, information is the most valuable commodity in the world. Our goal is to provide fast, accurate, comprehensive, evaluated material from around the world, screening out all biases of cancer economics and politics. Individual and family consultations and counseling guarantee intensive interaction between the participants and program specialists. After making an educated decision about their health plan, participants have the opportunity to find the best course of treatment for their specific situation.

Participants then have the choice of receiving ongoing professional advice, or referral within our network to oncology professionals or support groups.

The “People Care” Program was developed in response to the devastation among our uninsured and underserved populations, especially women and children. The People Care program ensures that people with cancer are able to receive the type of care they choose for their specific cancer and get the practical assistance they need. These people will be able to access:

1. pharmaceuticals

2. supplies

3. hotel and transportation needs

4. personal and/or daily care products

5. meals

6. comprehensive educational, behavioral, psychological, and emotional intervention, delivered by culturally sensitive and competent workers

The People Care Program is designed to rebuild and restore the “whole” person, rendered primarily to medically underserved women and children, Latinos and African-Americans.

Funding History and Background

The Center for the Study of Natural Oncology, Inc. has its origin in the friendship and professional relationship between Dr. Vincent Gammill, scientist, and Loren Parks, inventor and philanthropist. Both men share a vision to help people with cancer and other diseases by providing the most up-to-date information on alternative method that complement traditional methods. Both men believe in the psychological impact of positive thinking in healing the body. Hope springs eternal.

Through the generosity of Loren Parks, that vision became a reality in the year 2000, when the Center for the Study of Natural Oncology, Inc. began operations with

Dr. Gammill serving as the Scientific Director. The Center for the Study of Natural Oncology, Inc. has led to remarkable improvements in the lives of people with cancer.

The Center for the Study of Natural Oncology provides resources for innovative research, education and caring for people with cancer. It acts as a catalyst for collaboration among professionals in the oncology community.

The Center for the Study of Natural Oncology, Inc., which demonstrates financial stability with annual revenue of approximately $250,000 from the Loren Parks Foundation, is a well-managed institution that provides its programs with expertise and professional oversight.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Best Regards,

Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Neurosurgeons Complete 10th MRI-guided Surgical Procedure Using Revolutionary IMRIS iSPACE™ Imaging System

Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Neurosurgeons Complete 10th MRI-guided Surgical Procedure Using Revolutionary IMRIS iSPACE™ Imaging System

Milestone achieved as neurosurgeons at Pennsylvania’s Wilkes-Barre General Hospital complete their 10th MRI-guided surgical using the IMRIS iSPACE Surgical Imaging system.

Winnipeg, Manitoba (PRWEB) October 9, 2006

Neurosurgeons at Pennsylvania’s Wilkes-Barre General Hospital completed their 10th MRI-guided surgical procedure recently, only four months after the commissioning of the IMRIS iSPACE Surgical Imaging system. The IMRIS system includes a unique, ceiling-mounted movable Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine (MRI) that lets surgeons take high-resolution scans of patients when and where they are needed most during surgery, providing them with improved real-time information, allowing them to analyze and operate with greater precision.

The IMRIS iSPACE uses a number of advanced surgical imaging innovations and has multiple surgical applications in cranial, spinal and general surgery. The MRI’s mobility is more than just a technological breakthrough: when it’s not being used in the operating room, it can be used as a diagnostic MRI for the hospital’s other patients. This increases the hospital’s clinical diagnostic capacity and makes the MRI more cost-effective, a benefit to patients and the hospital alike.

In the operating room, the major strength of the IMRIS iSPACE advanced MRI imaging technology is that surgeons can obtain high-quality images right in the OR during surgery, all without ever moving the patient. Moving the MRI instead of the patient not only enhances patient safety; it enables surgeons to take a scan, start surgery, then take further scans to evaluate and respond as the surgery progresses.

This real-time feedback may make the difference between one or several surgeries to remove a patient’s brain tumor. In the past, surgeons might complete a procedure and have to wait for a few days before the patient could be scanned again, only to discover that some of the tumor still remained and re-operation was required.

The IMRIS iSPACE may make that scenario less likely. Using feedback from high field MRI scans performed in the OR during surgery, surgeons can adjust the surgical procedure to increase the chances for total removal of a tumor. That’s just what happened in the case of one 49-year-old woman who arrived at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital with a brain tumor requiring surgery. After several hours of surgery, images acquired from the IMRIS movable MRI scan in the OR showed that some of the patient’s tumor still remained. As a result, surgeons could remove the tumor entirely, preventing the need for a further operation and improving this patient’s chance for recovery.

“Wyoming Valley Health Care System is committed to providing the very best health care to its community,” said William R. Host, MD, President and CEO of Wyoming Valley Health Care System. “Today, we’ve fulfilled another aspect of that commitment in a very big way, by bringing some of the world’s most advanced surgical imaging technology in the IMRIS iSPACE here, to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.”

“One of the most challenging and risky aspects of brain surgery is the precision with which neurosurgeons must operate,” explained Carlo de Luna, MD, Chief of Neurosurgery. “We use an MRI to help map the area of the brain where the surgery is being performed. To have access to an MRI during the actual surgical procedure as we do with the IMRIS system is much safer and far superior to the prospect of moving the patient out of the OR for a test, then returning that patient back to the OR for more surgery. In the case of our 49-year-old patient, the outcome was much better because we were able to adjust during the surgery to ensure we extracted all of the tumor. Her prognosis has been significantly improved and the superior imaging capabilities of the IMRIS system helped in this outcome.”

In addition, IMRIS technology is also being used for other neurosurgeries procedures at Wyoming Valley Health Care System. Intra-operative MRI studies are being performed on herniated disk surgery for the neck. The same advantages are being seen in these more common procedures as in the brain. Using the surgical imaging system from IMRIS, the spinal cord can be visualized to ensure as complete a removal of the disk can be done with similar safety and precision.

“At IMRIS, our goal is to create surgical imaging technology that provides surgeons with better feedback on their patients where and when they need it – in the operating room,” said IMRIS President and CEO, David Graves. “Wilkes-Barre General Hospital has been able to show just what can be accomplished with the IMRIS iSPACE imaging suite to contribute to a higher level of patient care.”

The 412-bed Wilkes-Barre General Hospital is the largest community hospital in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Home of The Center for Advanced Surgery, it is this region’s leader in offering the most sophisticated and advanced surgical procedures. Its surgeons perform over 12,000 procedures annually across a wide-range of surgical specialties. For more information visit www. wvhcs. org (http://www. wvhcs. org).

IMRIS Inc. designs and manufactures advanced surgical imaging systems for use in cranial, spinal and general surgery applications. IMRIS is focused exclusively on providing fully integrated surgical imaging solutions that support the effectiveness of the surgical team. Sperm Donors Step Up To The Camera

Sperm Donors Step Up To The Camera

Sperm Bank for Lesbian Couples and Single Mothers Announces Major Advance: Full-Face Donor Videos and Photos

Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) October 30, 2009

For Pacific Reproductive Services, a pioneering national sperm bank (https://www. pacrepro. com/index. php) founded in 1984 specifically to serve lesbian couples and single mothers, the launch of online access to a group of videos and adult photos of their sperm donors is the next logical step in serving the unique needs of its client base.

"We have always worked hard to give our clients - and their children, should they wish it - the greatest possible sense of who our donors are as people while maintaining strict donor privacy," says the bank's director, Sherron Mills. "Unlike the large majority of heterosexual couples in which male factor infertility is an issue - and who often do not tell their children they were born of sperm donation - our client base has a deep interest in having as much information as possible beyond a donor's physical health because they will be more disclosing with their children."

Opening A New Window On "Willing To Be Known Sperm Donors"

Over the years, the artificial insemination (https://www. pacrepro. com/index. php? main_page=process) field has offered an increasing array of informational options to their clients to help compensate for the necessity of preserving sperm donor privacy. These include everything from donor-provided baby photos and essays to handwriting analysis and "photo-matching" services in which clients provide the sperm banks with images of men - family, friends, even celebrities - whose features they desire in their children.

Most importantly, however, sperm banks have increasingly sought donors who are "willing to be known" to children born of their donations when the children reach 18. These donors contractually agree to meet a child at least once, should the child request it. Pacific Reproductive Services, from its founding and because of the special needs of its lesbian and single-mother client focus, has long been the leader in providing this option. As a result, the sperm bank offers the largest number of willing to be known sperm donors (https://www. pacrepro. com/index. php? main_page=our_selection) in the United States. To director Mills, the bank's ability to now provide both video interviews and adult photos of a first group of these donors is the "big leap" she has long wanted to take for her clients.

"We will be steadily expanding the number of donors for whom we provide these options," Mills says. "It is, of course, a complex project to undertake. Understandably, not all our donors are willing to do this. But we're finding quite a bit of enthusiasm about participating and we're already in the process of adding a second group of donors with videos and photos available. I think the gratifying response we've received from our donors is basically due to two factors. First, clients who want access to the videos and photos are required to indicate their assent to a strict legal contract controlling their dissemination of these images. Second, the donors - who are already very committed to being as open as possible because they are willing to be known - - are pleased to be able to do this, both for the mothers and their children."

Donor: "Were I In The Mother's Place, I Would Of Course Want This"

Sperm donors featured in the videos and photos have expressed their understanding of how important their participation will be to the families they are helping create.

"Their sensitivity to our clients' needs and hopes has been genuinely heartwarming," says Mills. "Of course, these are all men who have already made the profound decision to meet children in the future, should the children wish it. So it's my sense that the decision to go on-camera was a really just natural extension of that very serious commitment for them."

Where There's a Will, There's a Play: KaBOOM! and qubo Announce List of 67 'Playful City USA' Communities

Where There's a Will, There's a Play: KaBOOM! and qubo Announce List of 67 'Playful City USA' Communities

Communities Across the Country Recognize the Importance of Play

Washington, D. C. (Vocus) September 6, 2008

To ensure that their children are active and healthy, 67 communities across the country have taken innovative approaches to make play a priority. Despite mounting budget issues, communities large and small, urban and rural, in the red and in the black, have created initiatives to increase both the quantity and quality of play and playgrounds, as well as increasing access to existing opportunities to play.

To honor these cities and towns that have made this commitment to play, KaBOOM!, a national non-profit dedicated to bringing play back into children's lives, named them Playful City USA communities. Playful City USA is a national recognition program that honors cities and towns across the nation who put their children's well-being first by recognizing and harnessing the power of play. KaBOOM! and qubo, the television and online service for children, announced the list of 2008 Playful City USA communities and will support the initiative with an extensive marketing campaign.

This is the second year of the annual program, and 27 of the 31 founding Playful City USA communities have made the list again, while 40 new communities, including New York, Los Angeles, St. Petersburg, and Orlando have joined the ranks. The agendas all of these communities have created impact not only childhood wellness, but public safety and quality of life issues.

Each of the 2008 Playful City USA communities demonstrated creative commitments to the cause of play including:

Quantity
New York City (pop. 8,250,567) Mayor Michael Bloomberg partnered with the Trust for Public Land to create places to play within a ten-minute walk of every child in the city. Current plans call for the creation of 185 new playgrounds and community parks, serving more than 380,000 children. In 2004, St. Petersburg, Fla. (pop. 252,246), launched "Play 'N' Close to Home", a public/private partnership to build playgrounds within a half-mile of every child. To date, this partnership with schools and houses of worship has increased the number of playspaces by 20%.

Quality
The City Council of Greenbelt, Md. (pop 20,903) is ensuring the quality of existing playgrounds by creating a new initiative to foot 75% of the cost to maintain and upgrade unsafe playgrounds controlled by Home Owner Associations. In return, the HOAs agree to make their playgrounds open to the general public. In San Francisco (pop. 719,077), the Neighborhood Parks Council (NPC) created a Playground Report Card and follow-up action plan. Any public playground that receives an "F" is visited by a group of community volunteers who undertake safety improvements and clean up days.

Access
To dramatically increase access to playgrounds, Tucson, Ariz. (pop. 543,897) is opening up its existing school playgrounds after school hours, on weekends and during the summer. Los Angeles (pop. 3,684,820) has launched a pilot project along the same vein. Teens in Landfall, Minn. (pop. 700) desperately needed a place to skate, so the community hired a bus to take the kids to the nearest skatepark, over 40 miles away. The program was so popular, the community is now working on building a skatepark of their own.

The KaBOOM! vision is a great place to play within walking distance of every child, while qubo's mission is to promote healthy lifestyles for children. Playful City USA communities create best practices, like the ones above, to reach those same goals. They serve as role models for other communities and prove that enhancing children's well-being by increasing the opportunity for play is an attainable goal for every community.

"In a time when communities are struggling with critical financial decisions, these Playful City USA communities proved their commitment to the cause of play by launching creative initiatives designed to increase access to playspaces, improving the quality of play in their community, and increasing the time children spend playing," said Darell Hammond, KaBOOM! CEO and Co-founder. "The ideas range the gamut, from new programming and access initiatives to creating informational resources and public private partnerships. It just goes to show you, where there's a will, there's a play."

Added Rick Rodriguez, president and general manager of qubo, "qubo shares the goal of enhancing the lives of America's children through play. We applaud these 'Playful City USA' communities that have made play a priority and are proud to be part of this effort that gives kids the opportunity to be kids again."

Ring SMS UBiee Officially Launches Newest Addition to their Global Harmonic Circle of Friendship

Right on the heels of New Image International's 21st birthday celebration, where formal announcement was made of their strategic alliance with Ring SMS UBiee, comes the official launch of the UBiee Power Pill Fe 3 on September 15, 2005, successfully intertwining transportation, environment, communications, and health industries.

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) September 15, 2005

Offering hope beyond the worst personal conditions, Ring SMS - UBiee's harmonic circle of friendship embraces friends around the world by offering a safe harbor to save money and make money, while simultaneously protecting our environment.

Right on the heels of New Image International's 21st birthday celebration where formal announcement was made of their strategic alliance with Ring SMS UBiee, comes the official launch of the UBiee Power Pill Fe 3 on September 15, 2005, successfully intertwining transportation, environment, communications, and health industries.

With Ring SMS UBiee holding exclusive marketing rights in 3 continents, the 3 month pre-launch period, from June 15, 2005 to September 14, 2005, resulted in the UBiee Power Pill being represented in over 32 countries, customs documentation finalized, foundations laid for distributors, and a new look to their corporate website with user-friendly links to assist customers and new business entrepreneurs by easy accessibility to data.

The global impact of continuing rising oil prices, taking a toll on already stretched fuel budgets for individuals and businesses, makes the launch the of the UBiee Power Pill a welcome relief to all fuel consumers worldwide.

According to James R. Healy of USA Today in "Storms Worsen oil, gas problems",

"…All that is expected to pump up already high retail energy prices across the country as soon as today...

In short, the hurricane threatens to bite deeply into the heating, cooling and driving budgets of all Americans at a time those budgets are stretched by rising energy prices.

Wound-Be-Gone™: New Product Set Standard of Care for Non-Healing Sores

Wound-Be-Gone™: New Product Set Standard of Care for Non-Healing Sores

Effective and inexpensive treatment prevents complications associated with chronic wounds.

Bellwood, IL (PRWEB) January 5, 2009 - Wound-Be-

Gone™ (http://www. woundbegone. com/ (http://www. woundbegone. com/))], lead product offering from Wake Pharm US, is now available and is changing the way people treat chronic, non-healing wounds. Inexpensive yet very effective, Wound-Be-Gone™ and its patented free radical binding technology is putting wound care (http://www. woundbegone. com/) into the hands of people who might otherwise suffer or whose wound problems might escalate until they need expensive medical interventions.

Complications from chronic, complex non-healing wounds can be dire. Not only can they lead to infection and pain, they lead to depression and even limb amputation. Patients affected by these types of wounds often require additional help performing common daily tasks and face higher mortality rates. Wound-Be-Gone™ is useful beyond simple wound care.

Literally millions of Americans seek relief each year as complex non-healing wounds are associated with diabetes, pressure ulcers, venous ulcers and non-healing postoperative wounds. Everyone needs access to the "best standard" of care to heal chronic wounds (http://www. woundbegone. com/). The new over the counter product Wound-Be-Gone™ promises to significantly reduce the overall costs for treating wounds, and restore quality of life.

Damian Styga, Sales/Marketing Executive stated that Wake Pharm US points out many dimensions that treating acute and chronic wounds represents a significant financial burden on people and on the health care system. "Expenses related to wound care may include surgical and diagnostic procedures, pharmaceuticals, fees for services provided by physicians and other health care professionals," he said. "Other costs include the use of medical equipment, the use of devices to provide compression or support for surfaces, wound closing, and the cost of skin care protection products, compression bandages, and changing dressings."

Wake Pharm US, Inc encourages the adoption of cost-effective wound-healing approaches for acute and chronic wounds management.

Wound-Be-Gone™ is a breakthrough invention for treating acute and chronic wounds. It works using a patented, revolutionary principle, and is totally different from current healing products. It helps the wound fully heal.

Some of conventional medical treatment work well for the early stage of healing but are not designed to see healing through. While they are fine for the inflammation stage, they don't help the wound cover up with new skin. So while treatment of the wound may occur, healing does not.

Wound-Be-Gone™ offers a unique combination of the most modern treatments for "moist healing" together with a patented active ingredient developed by the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

The moist environment supports the movement of cells in the wound and maintains constant temperature in the wound, which is critical for quick healing without unsightly scars. The active ingredient removes free oxygen radicals from the site of the wound, while at the same time creating an elastic layer that prohibits contact between the wound and its external environment. This prevents infection and accelerates healing process.

Global Chitin Derivatives Market to Reach US$63 Billion by 2015, According to a New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc

Global Chitin Derivatives Market to Reach US$63 Billion by 2015, According to a New Report by Global Industry Analysts, Inc.

GIA announces the release of a comprehensive global report on Chitin & Chitosan markets. The global market for Chitin Derivatives is forecast to reach US$63 billion, while global Chitosan market would reach US$21.4 billion by the year 2015. Key factors driving market growth include increasing applications and surging demand for chitin and chitosan from agrochemicals and healthcare/medical end-use sectors. Other factors propelling market growth include increased demand from developing markets, including Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and Middle East.

San Jose, CA (Vocus) October 6, 2010

Chitin and Chitosan are valuable versatile natural materials derived from shells of prawns and crabs. The current and potential applications of chitin, chitosan and their derivatives in fields of biomedicine, nutrition, food processing, pharmacology, microbiology, agriculture and cosmetics are vast and exciting. They are also used in various applications ranging from antibiotics and surgical sutures to dietary supplements, food & pet foods and cloth for socks and undergarments. These natural compounds are poised to make waves, especially in the fields of biomedicine, nutrition and food. Increasing health consciousness among individuals coupled with growing cholesterol-related problems has resulted in an increased demand for chitin and chitosan, especially due to the properties of fat-absorption and lowering of cholesterol-level.

As stated by the new market research report, Japan represents the largest market worldwide for Chitin & Chitosan. The country represents an established market for chitin and chitosan, with biomedical applications of chitin widespread in the region. Wound dressing materials and artificial sutures within biomedical applications account for the largest end use of chitin and chitosan. United States trails Japan in terms of sales of chitin & chitosan. Growth-wise, Asia-Pacific is projected to be the fastest growing regional market for chitin derivatives, with a CAGR of more than 12.0% over the analysis period. Asia-Pacific, having access to large source of raw materials, is a promising market for locating manufacturing units for chitin and chitosan. India hosts sizable number of manufacturing units for chitin and chitosan.

In terms of chitin derivatives, Glucosamine represents the largest segment globally. Cornering an estimated market share of more than 60% of the total chitin derivatives market in 2010, Glucosamine is portended to continue its dominance over the coming years. Chitosan represents the other prominent segment within the chitin derivatives market globally. Among the end-use applications of chitosan, Water Treatment represents the largest end-use application. However, agrochemicals segment represents the fastest growing end-use, with consumption of chitosan surging at more than 12% over the analysis period.

Chitin applications in food additives, drug capsules, cosmetics, bandages, and burn dressings are increasing at a rapid pace. The potential areas of usefulness for chitin and chitosan include paper production, biomedical applications, textile finishes, cements, heavy metal chelating agents, photographic products and waste removal. Chitin continues to arouse interest in view of its potential industrial and biomedical applications. Chitosan, the deacetylated form of chitin, is more useful for biomedical applications and dehydrations of aqueous solutions than chitin, since it has both hydroxyl and amino groups that can be modified with ease. Major issues impacting the chitin & chitosan market include high production costs, lack of quality chitin and chitosan available in the market, production shortages, and heavy pollution during the production process.

Major players profiled in the report include Advanced Biopolymers AS, Biothera Inc., CarboMer Inc., Dalian Xindie Chitin Co. Ltd., HaloSource Inc, Heppe GmbH, Kunpoong Bio Co. Ltd., Meron Biopolymers, Primex Ehf, QBas Co. Ltd., Sonat. Co, Taizhou Candorly Sea Biochemical & Health Products Co. Ltd., and V-Labs Inc.

New Book Titled 'The Adventures of Gorrin the Gnome' by A. M. Singleton is Published

New Book Titled 'The Adventures of Gorrin the Gnome' by A. M. Singleton is Published

This novel represents A. M. Singleton's first excursion into children’s fiction, and he is presently working on the sequel to this book.

(PRWEB) March 17, 2006

This novel represents A. M. Singleton's first excursion into children’s fiction, and he is presently working on the sequel to this book.

About the Book: Accident-prone Gorrin the Gnome is awakened from over 350 years of slumber by the destruction of his cosy home. Gorrin realises that he has been asleep for a long time, but he is not sure exactly how long. He resolves to search for his long lost family, and, with his magical backpack and runic staff, sets off to find them. Gorrin soon discovers that society has dramatically changed and technology has greatly advanced while he has been hibernating.

Abiding by the Gnomic Code, Gorrin triumphs over adversity using magic, having many adventures along the way, as he learns to live in the 21st Century.

Excerpt from the Book: The monster moved over the earth and headed for the old copse of trees with its teeth pointing menacingly forwards. The ground trembled as the monster moved towards its intended victim - the trees. Of course the trees could do nothing but stand and stare helplessly at the yellow shape, smoke billowing from its single nostril into the cold still air.

Birds flew out of the trees to a safe distance and squirrels chattered frantically as the spluttering shape lurched towards them.

Finally, the monster reached the trees and as they splintered and cracked, they fell to the ground with a great welter of stones and earth. With a last defiant protest, the squirrels raced away from the scene over the surrounding grass and earth and headed for the next clump of trees.

Tom was the bulldozer driver, whose job it was to demolish this particular group of trees. He had been responsible for the wholesale demolition of a large number of such wooded areas in this part of the country. Working in pairs he was part of a number of demolition gangs clearing land ready for housing and road development.

He enjoyed his work as a bulldozer driver and he particularly liked the way the trees would come crashing down. The branches and leaves flailing through the air until they hit the ground with a great crash, as his monstrous machine moved ever onwards.

This particular copse was actually extremely old and was all that remained of a very ancient forest that used to cover this part of the country. Its original name was the Arden Forest, but now there was little of this large forest still remaining. So it was with some surprise that Gorrin the Gnome awoke from his slumber in a very sudden manner.

Gorrin had been sleeping quite peacefully for some time, though it wasn’t sleep as you or I know it, but more of a hibernation. In short, he had been asleep for a little over three hundred and fifty years, and even for a gnome that was a very long time.

When he was last awake, Gorrin had just returned from a visit to his family, some ten leagues to the south. Gorrin came from a medium size family and had three brothers and one sister. Of course, when he finally reached his home having journeyed on foot, he had been very tired. Not wishing to be disturbed for a little while he had placed a magic charm on himself.

Unfortunately for Gorrin, he had made a slight mistake in the charm, with the result that he had gone into hibernation.

About the Author: Andrew Singleton lives with his family in Solihull, England. He has co-authored various technical publications in health and safety. This novel represents Andrew’s first excursion into children’s fiction, and he is presently working on the sequel to this book.

Gibraltar Industries Earns 2008 Summit Award at Consona User Conference

Gibraltar Industries Earns 2008 Summit Award at Consona User Conference

Company Uses AXIS® ERP Software to Generate Higher Revenues While Decreasing Plants and Staff; Wins Best Overall Use Award

Las Vegas, Indianapolis, and Buffalo, N. Y., (Vocus) October 15, 2008

Consona Corporation (Consona), a worldwide leader in providing customer relationship management (CRM) (http://www. consona. com/consona/default. aspx? pagename=CRM-Solutions) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) (http://www. consona. com/consona/default. aspx? pagename=Cross-Industry-ERP) software and services for companies of all sizes, today announced at its premier user conference, Consona Connect, that Gibraltar Industries, a Buffalo, N. Y.-based manufacturer, processor, and distributor of products for the building, industrial, and vehicular markets and AXIS ERP user, is the 2008 recipient of the software provider's Best Overall Use Award.

The Best Overall Use Award, part of Consona's annual Summit Awards, honors a customer that has demonstrated excellence in utilizing multiple products (modules, features, add-on, third-party) and services from Consona. Recipients of the award submit both qualitative and quantitative data that illustrate how the solution has improved the customer's overall business performance. Award recipients display full use of both core and add-on solutions, steady business growth, a strong return on investment, and a passion for implementing and mastering new technologies.

Gibraltar Industries classifies its operations into two segments: Building Products and Processed Metal Products. The Processed Metal Products group provides value-added processing, such as cold rolling, annealing, temper rolling and slitting, yielding products for the automotive industry and other applications.

Until recently, the Processed Metal Products group's three plants used a combination of custom-developed software and outdated off-the-shelf work order systems. Maintaining three separate systems was burdensome on the organization, and required manual transfer of information that caused a lag in reporting, so information was no longer current when it was finally entered into another system. Ultimately, management decided that it was important to get the three different sites to agree on a single way of running the business. Gibraltar Industries selected AXIS ERP to integrate all of its business operations on a single platform, enabling the group to combine and adjust the sales, accounting, purchasing and planning functions.

The group now uses all of the AXIS modules to run its entire business. Built from the ground up to support the unique operations requirements of the metals industry, AXIS ERP captures all of the information involved in the group's business, including as sales orders, purchase orders, inventory, work orders, labor, financial accounting and more, into one system that can be used for reporting and decision making. By working closely with the AXIS team, Gibraltar Industries was able to overcome the standard implementation challenges and realize the following benefits:
Reduced the number of plants from three to two, while increasing revenues.  Reduced administrative and operations staff by 25 percent.  Increased inventory accuracy from 85 to 98 percent.  Handled a sudden upsurge in business without allowing quality to suffer or missing customer delivery dates.

"We are now capable of shipping more product and generating substantially higher revenues with 25 percent fewer people and 33 percent less administrative staff than at the time we first installed AXIS ERP," said Matt Jacobs, manager of business processes for Gibraltar Industries. "The AXIS team has worked closely with us over the years--even upgrading the software in response to our requests. All in all, the implementation of AXIS has played a key role in our ability to improve the efficiency of our operations to compete in the global economy."

"It is our pleasure to honor Gibraltar Industries with a Summit Award for their absolutely outstanding achievements," said Jeff Tognoni, CEO of Consona. "Gibraltar Industries stands as an example of the dedication it takes to gain maximum return on a business system investment. The growth and success this company has achieved with our support reminds all of us at Consona why we're in business."

"With summer now in full swing, many of us are looking to go for that last little summer get away or weekend at the beach," said Sam Lane, owner, Shapes Salon and Day Spa. "To make the most of your next vacation - or to just feel like you're going on vacation even if you're not - follow these five economical tips to look like a million bucks, while only spending a few."

1. Exfoliate before you tan - A body polish and beauty scrub exfoliation will clear your body of dry, dead skin. This will make the tan from your next day in the sun go on more evenly and last up to twice as long. For the ultimate body polish results, try the hydrotherapy of both water and steam in a hydrotone capsule for a truly unique and relaxing experience.
2. Giver you legs a natural sheen - For that natural, healthy leg shine after your next leg wax, without any oily residue, try Eufora's Pure Polish for hair or skin.
3. Instantly slim and detoxify with a body wrap - Want to look and feel instantly more healthy? A naturally detoxifying body wrap can make you feel like a new person in just 15 minutes.
4. Give hair new shape and luster with a quick trim or partial foil - A quick end or bang trim can give your hairstyle new life and actually make your haircut last longer. To also make your hair color treatment last longer, get a partial foil to eliminate any "telling" roots.
5. Pop in for a polish change - Even if you don't have the time for a full pedicure, take five minutes before your next weekend getaway for a polish change. For just a few dollars and a quick color switch, you can get a whole new look.

Shapes Salon & Day Spa is offering a range of budget-friendly hair and spa packages for the summer. These "economic stimulus packages" can save you hundreds of dollars when you buy four selected services and get two free. Leave Seals Be and Call The Marine Mammal Center

Leave Seals Be and Call The Marine Mammal Center

The rescue season for harbor seals has begun for The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, California. As volunteers and staff begin to care for their first newborn harbor seal patient of the year, the Center reminds the public to call its response hotline at 415-289-SEAL to report abandoned or ill marine mammals.

Sausalito, Calif. (PRWEB) February 25, 2009

The Marine Mammal Center is reminding people along the California coast to help give harbor seal pups a chance at life by not picking them up or disturbing them. The Leave Seals Be public education campaign encourages people to keep their distance when they see a sick or abandoned seal pup, and to take action by calling the Center's 24-hour response hotline at (415) 289-SEAL (7325). The Center will monitor the pup to see if the mother returns and conduct a rescue if needed.

"We admitted more than 100 harbor seals last year for a variety of reasons, including those that were separated from their mothers as a result of humans picking them up and removing them from their natural habitat," said Shelbi Stoudt, stranding manager at The Marine Mammal Center. "The best thing you can do to help a harbor seal pup or any other marine mammal that looks to be ill or in a bad location is to call us on our response hotline. Our trained volunteers will monitor an abandoned seal pup from a safe distance and perform a rescue only when necessary."

Generally, when a harbor seal pup is alone on the shore, its mother is nearby. Unfortunately, well-intentioned beachgoers may think the seal pup is in trouble and immediately pick it up or put it back into the water, or worse, remove it from the area. A seal pup depends on the rich milk that its mother provides for survival. If people are too close, the mother may avoid returning to it. Members of the public should be aware that it is illegal and punishable by law to pick up, handle or disturb a seal pup under the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972.

On February 18, The Marine Mammal Center rescued its first harbor seal patient of the season. The days-old male pup, with its umbilicus still attached, was rescued at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve in San Mateo County after park rangers kept him on watch in hopes of spotting his mother.

With no mother in site, the pup was lying on the beach, vulnerable to birds that were pecking at it. The pup was rescued and vets and volunteers at the Center are caring for Pavi, as he was named, tube-feeding him daily in hopes that he'll eventually begin to eat fish on his own, gain weight, and develop the muscular agility needed to survive back in the wild.

If you come across a harbor seal pup or any marine mammal that appears to be in distress between Sonoma and Mendocino County down to northern Santa Barbara county coastlines, please call The Marine Mammal Center's 24-hour response hotline at (415) 289-SEAL (7325). Once a seal pup is reported to the Center, trained volunteers and staff can be dispatched to monitor the animal. If needed, they will safely rescue the animal and transport it to the hospital for medical attention.

What to do if you come across a sick or abandoned seal on a beach:
Stay at least 50 feet away from it. Pup mothers may be nearby. Do not handle it and keep other people and dogs away. Call The Marine Mammal Center's 24-hour response hotline at (415) 289-SEAL.

To learn more about the Leave Seals Be campaign and how you can help marine mammal pups like Pavi, visit www. marinemammalcenter. org.

About The Marine Mammal Center:
The Marine Mammal Center is a nonprofit veterinary hospital, research and educational center dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of ill and injured marine mammals - primarily elephant seals, harbor seals and California sea lions - and to the study of their health. Since 1975, the Center has been headquartered in the Marin Headlands, within the Golden Gate National Parks and has rescued and treated more than 14,000 marine mammals. In late June 2009, the public will be able to visit the Center's newly rebuilt headquarters in Sausalito, which includes animal rehabilitation viewing areas and educational exhibits. For more information, visit www. marinemammalcenter. org.

Business Owner's Toolkit, Leading Provider of Need-to-Know Information on How to Start a Business, Offers the Key to a Successful Year-End Startup

Business Owner's Toolkit, Leading Provider of Need-to-Know Information on How to Start a Business, Offers the Key to a Successful Year-End Startup

With the balance of 2008 at hand, entrepreneurs still have time to launch a new business

Riverwoods, IL (PRWEB) November 10, 2008

www. toolkit. com -- Becoming the president of an international corporation used to take a lifetime of hard work. Now, it can be done with a PC, strong entrepreneurial spirit, and the remaining balance of 2008.

Downturns in the economy are actually a great time to start a business (https://www. bizfilings. com/BOS/app/ServiceOptions. aspx? src=fq&vendorid=BFI&sp=0&bhcp=1) that runs more efficiently than competitors, said Troy Janisch, publisher of Business Owner's Toolkit. This is because companies are examining every expense for ways to save. If you can offer a better price than their current vendor, Janisch said you will have a decent chance of winning their business -- and growing your new company rapidly.

"It's never been easier or less expensive to start a company," Janisch said. "The key is to avoid the common mistakes and ensure that your new venture has the necessary advantages to succeed." Since Q1 and Q2 promise to be the busiest time for many new businesses, he said it's important for entrepreneurs to lay the groundwork now:

Write a Business Plan
Even though a business plan isn't required for starting your corporation, Janisch said it's not a bad idea -- In this economy, it's an essential one. Based on a study by Jessie Hagen of the US Bank, most businesses fail due to a combination of four factors: poor business planning, poor financial planning, poor marketing, and poor management.

According to Hagen's study, in the Business Planning category, 78 percent of businesses fail due to lack of a well-developed business plan. Business planning software isn't required -- but it's advantageous, according to Janisch. Creating a business plan by yourself is an intimidating task. As a result, Janisch said it's a mistake not to use software and free business planning resources to develop an effective plan. That is why he said Business Owner's Toolkit provides a free business planning webinar and content for Planning Your Business (http://www. toolkit. com/small_business_guide/sbg. aspx? nid=P02_0001).

Gain Asset Protection
With a winning business plan in place, Janisch said one of the next steps is to form the legal entity for your business (http://www. bizfilings. com/products/incorporate. asp). To reduce the potential risks to your personal assets, you'll likely want to form an LLC (http://www. bizfilings. com/products/llc. asp) or corporation. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Corporations, for example, make it easier to raise capital by selling stock. There are two types of corporations: S Corps and C Corps. Each has its own advantages: Income from an S Corp, for example, can be rolled into your personal taxes. C corps provide better structure for multiple owners. LLCs are more flexible than corporations in most respects. However, structure can be a good thing when it comes to business.

Build Brand and Infrastructure
When it comes to developing a company's brand (logo), marketing materials, and web site, Janisch recommends working with experienced professionals. By making a modest investment up front on professional materials, he said you're likely to have a stronger brand, more professional image, and less headaches overall. He also encourages business owners to use turn-key solutions for basic infrastructure items such as telephone, internet, and marketing-related resources.

Signing up for a free membership at Toolkit. com (http://www. toolkit. com/) provides business owners with free trials and discounts from leading vendors such as RingCentral, Register. com, VistaPrint, Constant Contact and GoToMeeting.

Many entrepreneurs start their first company while they're still employed, said Janisch. This provides them with cash flow, health insurance, and the confidence they need to make a gradual transition to full-time self employment.

Somulin Putting Consumers to Bed as Safer Supplement to Sleeping Drugs

Somulin Putting Consumers to Bed as Safer Supplement to Sleeping Drugs

More consumers are turning to natural cures for insomnia, like Somulin, in wake of many dangerous side effects and conditions that are associated with using prescribed sleeping drugs. According to a recent FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) warning--which identified the largest brands of sleeping drugs--the report warned consumers of dangerous allergic reactions and conditions such as anaphylaxis (a life-threatening allergic reaction), and angioedema (severe facial swelling), as well as sleep apnea (sleep walking, driving or other activities that are performed subconsciously while asleep). These risks, combined with the habit-forming nature of sleep drugs, have spurred high consumer demand for all-natural, and side effect-free cures for insomnia.

Englishtown, NJ (PRWEB) March 23, 2009

Manalapan, NJ -- More consumers are turning to natural cures for insomnia, like Somulin, in wake of many dangerous side effects and conditions that are associated with using prescribed sleeping drugs.

The FDA (US Food and Drug Administration) has issued several warnings about the risks associated with popular sleep drugs--amongst which the biggest name brands are revealed--which have been linked to causing mild to severe side effects. Allergic reactions included in the warning are anaphylaxis (a life-threatening allergic reaction), and angioedema (severe facial swelling), alongside sleep apnea (where people can subconsciously perform a wide variety of tasks, from preparing meals, driving, sending emails, and even having sexual intercourse while asleep, and with no conscious recollection of it when they awake).

In light of the numerous ups and downs that have been recently uncovered, as they relate to many of the popular sleeping drugs that currently saturate the market, all-natural sleep supplements like Somulin are putting consumers to bed as safer, side effect-free alternatives that are equally as effective.

Recent estimates indicate that millions of Americans suffer from insomnia, or the inability to induce sleep naturally each night. Many of those people will avidly seek sleeping drugs that can render some dangerous side effects. Furthermore, many of the most popular brands of prescribed sleeping drugs are accompanied by habit-forming routines that quite often render many of the takers with a serious drug dependency issue that they must face later on down the line.

For the insomniac who is concerned about their overall health and safety, the answer is rather simple: prescribed sleeping drugs come adorned with too many risks, drug interactions and dependency issues for most people to feel comfortable in taking them. This is why more consumers are turning to the clinically proven power of the leading natural cure for insomnia on the market: Somulin.

Jonathan Matters, the spokesperson for PrimeLife labs--the makers of Somulin natural cure for insomnia--explains that natural sleep aids work just as diligently as any prescription drug, yet do not have any of the associated risks.

"Somulin is the product of lengthy and intensive clinical research that has yielded several proprietary and key ingredients that naturally allow the body to induce sleep," says Matters.

"Somulin contains a formula called Serotain, which boosts the production of serotonin in the brain without causing any side effects," Matters Explains.

"It also utilizes valerian root--a sleep aid used for hundreds of years--as well as melatonin, a natural hormone made by the body that encourages a rapid, yet mild sleep-inducing effect."

According to Matters, there is no reason to resort to dangerous prescription drugs, when the same sleep inducing effects can be sustained naturally.

"For those who suffer from insomnia, the one thing they desire is sleep; they don't want to have to worry about drug interactions, sleep apnea or severe side effects," Matters says.

"They just want to take a safe, effective and natural supplement that will allow their mind and body to calm down and relax--leading to a natural and fulfilling sleep pattern that they have been deprived of for so long."

Somulin natural cure for insomnia is taken by capsule orally, 30-60 minutes prior to bedtime. Somulin works to cure insomnia by using a combination of clinically proven, all-natural compounds to boosts the production of serotonin in the brain, in combination with relaxing herbs that help to induce sleep safely, and naturally. Somulin is non-habit forming and has no side effects.

ERUCES to Present and Demonstrate New Anonymization and Pseudonymization Techniques at the 2008 HOPE Conference

ERUCES to Present and Demonstrate New Anonymization and Pseudonymization Techniques at the 2008 HOPE Conference

ERUCES' Vice President of Global Security Solutions will present "Pseudonymization Methodologies: Personal Liberty vs. the Greater Good" at the 2008 HOPE conference hosted by the 2600 group on July 18-20 in New York, NY. The presentation provides a history and comparison of the methods for anonymization and a market survey of the various competitors. The presentation will culminate in a demonstration of several anonymization scenarios.

Lenexa, KS (PRWEB) June 24, 2008

ERUCES' Vice President of Global Security Solutions & Sales, Jon-Michael C. Brook, will present at the 2008 HOPE Conference (http://www. thelasthope. org/talks. php) in July. Giving a talk entitled "Pseudonymization Methodologies: Personal Liberty vs. the Greater Good" Mr. Brook will discuss the various methods for hiding personal information within data sets, provide a market survey, ways to reconstruct those data and demonstrate several example application scenarios.

Data sets from health care providers to financial services companies include Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as Social Security Numbers, names, or dates of birth. Generically referred to as anonymization, pseudonymization (http://www. eruces. com/index. php/datasecuritysolutionsmenu/anonymizationmenu) replaces PII with mathematically generated aliases. The mathematical methods for generating these aliases are vendor specific, with each presenting strengths and weaknesses.

"Pseudonymization will be the next hot topic in data mining," said Mr. Brook. "Health care researchers may present skewed results if they rely on improperly anonymized data. Terrorist watchlists may invade US citizens' privacy if the TSA doesn't anonymize, and may not catch the bad guys if they do. And what happens when the CDC receives five reports of the Avian Flu - is that one individual visiting five hospitals? Indeed, finding 'information' within data sets with some of the anonymization techniques may be far outside the design of those systems."

"The ERUCES' Key Server provides fast encryption key access, and since the Tricryption architecture does not store keys with the data, anonymization of database sets works quite well," according to Mr. Oggy Vasic, ERUCES' Vice President of Software Development. (http://www. sans. edu/resources/securitylab/eruces_oggy_vasic. php) "We expect this to be a well attended talk that may open a few eyes as to how Data Leakage may occur when anonymization systems are not properly devised. It will also demonstrate, when architected properly, how anonymization protects Personally Identifiable Information."

The 2600 Group created the HOPE (Hackers On Planet Earth) Conference in 1994 as a place to share new technology, privacy topics (http://blog. cippguide. org), security methods and network technologies. The conference is held every two years in New York City. This year's conference includes keynote speeches by senior editor for Newsweek Steven Levy, computer security consultant Kevin Mitnick and privacy expert Steven Rambam. More information may be found on the HOPE Conference website at www. hope. net.

About ERUCES:
ERUCES is redefining cryptographic security, providing encryption key server management and key distribution products that protect Databases, Workstations, Servers, Web Services/Application Servers and third-party applications. ERUCES Tricryption software utilizes standard encryption algorithms implemented in validated cryptographic modules. ERUCES is a privately held software company headquartered in Kansas City with offices in Tampa, Orlando, and Columbia, MD. For further information on ERUCES, visit www. eruces. com.
