American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) Presents Prestigious Research Awards at Annual Meeting

In order to recognize and encourage cutting-edge research in key areas of orthopaedic sports medicine, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) will present eight research awards and two grants during its Annual Meeting, July 9-12th in Keystone, Colorado.

Keystone, CO (Vocus) July 7, 2009

In order to recognize and encourage cutting-edge research in key areas of orthopaedic sports medicine, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (http://www. sportsmed. org/) (AOSSM) will present eight research awards and two grants during its Annual Meeting, July 9-12th in Keystone, Colorado. As a leader in orthopaedic sports medicine, AOSSM annually provides more than $150,000 to research initiatives and projects around the country. Highlights of this year's award recipients include:

2009 Young Investigators Grant
The Young Investigator Grant (YIG) is specifically designed to support young researchers who have not received prior funding. Dr. Brian Feeley of the University of California at San Francisco received this year's $40,000 grant for his work with computer assisted navigation to evaluate different pediatric ACL reconstruction techniques using a custom pivot shift apparatus to evaluate the rotational stability of the reconstruction techniques.

2009 Sandy Kirkley Clinical Research Outcome Grant
The Kirkley Grant provides start-up supplemental funding for an outcome research project or pilot study in the amount of $20,000. This year's winner, Dr. Joseph Hart of the University of Virginia, will investigate mechanisms that underlie quadriceps strength gains in ACL-reconstructed patients exhibiting persistent quadriceps weakness and inhibition.

Aircast Award for Basic Science
Voted by the AOSSM's Fellowship Committee, this year's recipients are David Kovacevic, MD, Asheesh Bedi, MD, Alice J. Fox, MSc, Xenghua Deng, MD, Russell F. Warren, MD, Scott A. Rodeo, MD for their paper "The Effect of TGF-B3 on Tendon-to-Bone Healing in a Rotator Cuff Repair Model." The authors found that augmentation with the human gene TGF-B3, during a rotator cuff repair improves the strength of the repair more than surgical repair alone. Awardees receive a monetary compensation of $1,500.

Aircast Award for Clinical Science
"Anterior Cruciate Ligament Rupture in Patients with Significant Growth Remaining: What is the Risk to the Meniscus and Cartilage when Treatment is Delayed?" authored by J. Todd R. Lawrence, MD, PhD, Nina Agrawal, BA, and Theodore J. Ganley, MD quantified the risks of delaying anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction in pediatric patients and found that patients who delayed surgical reconstruction for more than 12 weeks experienced increased risk for irreparable tears and injuries, in addition to the already present ACL injury. Voted on by the AOSSM's Fellowship Committee, awardees receive $1,500.

Cabuad Memorial Award
Given to the best paper researching hard or soft tissue biology, this year's recipients are Braden C. Fleming, PhD, Kurt P. Spindler, MD, Matthew Palmer, BS, Elise Magarian, BS, and Martha M. Murray, MD, for their paper "Collagen-platelet composites improve the biomechanical properties of healing ACL grafts in a porcine model." The paper studied how the application of a collagen-platelet composite to an anterior cruciate ligament graft at the time of surgery was more successful in decreasing knee movement and increasing the structural strength of the graft after 15 weeks of healing compared with a traditional graft. This award is selected by the AOSSM Awards Subcommittee with awardees receiving $500.

Excellence in Research Award
Benjamin R. Coobs, MD, Coen A. Wijdicks, MSc, Bryan M. Armitage, MD, Stanislav I. Spiridonov, BS, Benjamin D. Westerhaus, Steiner Johansen MD, Lars Engebretsen, MD, PhD, and Robert F. LaPrade, MD, PhD, are the recipients of this award for the best paper submitted in any category with a primary author under the age of 40. Their paper, "An In Vitro Analysis of an Anatomic Medial Knee Reconstruction," found that an anatomic medial knee reconstruction restores near-normal stability and ligament load distribution in patients with chronic or severe acute medial knee injuries, such as a ligament tear of the knee. This award is selected by the AOSSM Awards Subcommittee with principal investigators receiving $1,000 and $1,500 for the sponsoring institution.

O'Donoghue Award.
This award is given to Thomas J. Gill, MD, Samuel K. Van de Velde, MD, David W. Wing, MD, and Luke S. Oh, MD, Guoan Li, PhD for their paper "Tibofemoral and patellofemoral kinematics following reconstruction of an isolated posterior cruciate ligament injury: In vivo analysis during physiologic loading." The paper was voted the best overall research paper based on clinical research or human in vivo research. The authors explored how abnormal movement of the shin bone and decreased knee rotation and tilt may play a part in the development of cartilage degeneration after a posterior cruciate ligament injury reconstruction. This award is selected by the AOSSM Awards Subcommittee with awardees receiving $2,500.

The NCAA Research Award
This award is given to the best paper submitted that pertains to the health, safety, and well-being of collegiate student-athletes, Julie Gilchrist, MD, Bert R. Mandelbaum, MD, Heidi Melancon, MPH, George W. Ryan, PhD, Holly J. Silvers, MPT, Letha Y. Griffin, MD, PhD, Diane S. Watanabe, MA, ATC, Randall W. Dick, MS, and Jiri Dvorak, MD are this year's recipients for their paper "A Randomized Controlled Trial to Prevent Noncontact Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury in Female Collegiate Soccer Players." The paper found that the risk of potentially devastating tears to an important knee ligament may be reduced in female college soccer players by an alternative warm-up program that focuses on stretching, strengthening, and improving balance and movements This award is selected by the AOSSM Awards Subcommittee with awardees receiving $500.

Hughston Award
The paper "Characterized Chondrocyte Implantation Results in Better Structure Repair when Treating Symptomatic Cartilage Defects of the Knee in a Randomized Controlled Trial Versus Microfracture," authored by B. F. Saris MD, PhD, Johan Vanlauwe, MD, and their associates, is awarded for being the most outstanding paper published in the American Journal of Sports Medicine in 2008. During the course of their research, Saris et al found that structural regeneration with a cell therapy proved more successful than traditional microfracture surgery repair. The winning paper is chosen by a panel of AJSM editors and reviewers and receives $5,000.

AJSM Systematic Review Award
This award for the best systematic review paper, in the American Journal of Sports Medicine will be presented to Britt Elin Øiestad, PT, MS, Lars Engebretsen, MD, PhD, Kjersti Storheim, PT, PhD, and May Arna Risberg, PT, PhD for their paper "Knee osteoarthritis after anterior cruciate ligament injury - A systematic review." In this paper, the authors reviewed published studies and concluded that the prevalence of knee osteoarthritis after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is lower than once thought, thus adding more fuel to the conversation regarding the relationship between ACL reconstruction and knee osteoarthritis. The winning paper is chosen by a panel of AJSM editors and receives $5,000.

A RACKETEER INFLUENCED & CORRUPT ORGANIZATIONS [RICO]complaint has been filed in U. S. District Court for the Northern District of California. The suit charges the defendants with manufacturing and marketing a deadly neurotoxin unfit for human consumption, while they assured the pubic that aspartame (also known as NutraSweet/Equal) contaminated products are safe and healthful, even for children and pregnant women. Present Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld is mentioned throughout the lawsuit.

As evidence, an explosive affidavit from a former translator for the G. D. Searle Co - the developer of aspartame - will be made public at a National Press Conference on Thursday, September 16 at 11:00 a. m. at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel, 1230 J Street, Sacramento, California 95814, phone (916) 447-1700.

For 16 years, the FDA denied approval of aspartame because of compelling evidence of its contributing to brain tumors and other serious disabilities. Donald Rumsfeld, present Secretary of Defense in the Bush Administration, left President Ford's administration as Chief of Staff to become the CEO of aspartame producer G D Searle Co. in 1981. Shortly after, Rumsfeld became the CEO, and the day after President Reagan took office, aspartame was quickly approved by FDA Commissioner Arthur Hayes over the objections of the FDA's Public Board of Inquiry. Hayes had been recently appointed by the Reagan Administration. Shortly after aspartame's approval by the FDA, Hayes joined NutraSweet's public relations firm under a ten year contract at $1,000 a day.

Aspartame/NutraSweet was the product of the G. D. Searle Co. In January 1977, the FDA wrote a 33 page letter to U. S. Justice Department Attorney

Sam Skinner: "We request that your office convene a Grand Jury investigation into apparent violations of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act." Skinner allowed the Statute of Limitations to run.

Three FDA Commissioners and eight other officers and Skinner took jobs in the aspartame industry.

The Food and Drug Administration once listed 92 adverse reactions from 10,000 consumer complaints and would send the list to all inquirers. In 1996 the FDA stopped taking complaints and now denies existence of the report. Seizures, blindness, sexual dysfunction, obesity, testicular, mammary and brain tumors and death, plus dozens of other dread diseases named in the suit arise from the consumption of this neurotoxin.

Defendant Moser, past CEO of NutraSweet, is cited for misrepresenting facts to public and commercial users with full knowledge of the deceptions. The toxin is sold to Bayer, Con Agra Foods, Dannon, Smucker, Kellogg, Wrigley, PepsiCo, Kraft Foods (Crystal Light), Conopco (Slim-Fast), Coke, Pfizer, Wal-Mart and Wyeth (to name a few), who use it in some of their products, including children's vitamins. These entities are named in other suits now in California Courts.

Defendant American Diabetes Association's mission is to care for diabetics. A 35 year ADA member, diabetic specialist H. J.Roberts, M. D.FACP discovered aspartame can precipitate or aggravate diabetes and its complications, or simulate the complications (especially neuropathy and retinopathy). His report, intended for the Annual Scientific Meeting of the ADA, was rejected for presentation - and even publication of the abstract (!) - but was then published in another scientific medical journal.

The seven count indictment includes charges for violation of California Consumers Legal Remedies Act, Fraud, violations of California Civil Code §1780-1784 and Injunctive Relief: that Defendants be enjoined from future use/sale of aspartame.

Leading Defense Technology Provider Targets Improved Employee Performance Management With Halogen Software

Leading Defense Technology Provider Targets Improved Employee Performance Management With Halogen Software

L-3 Interstate Electronics Selects Halogen eAppraisal™ to streamline processes, provide visibility into day-to-day execution of corporate strategy.

OTTAWA (PRWEB) August 10, 2006

Halogen Software Inc., the leading provider of Web-based employee performance management (EPM) software today announced that L-3 Interstate Electronics has selected Halogen eAppraisal. L-3 Interstate Electronics, an industry leader in GPS receiver and translator-based products for aircraft, missiles and precision-guided weapons, selected Halogen following a review of available EPM solutions. Halogen eAppraisal was selected to improve L-3 Interstate Electronics’ existing paper-based employee appraisal system, streamline processes for all involved and provide managers at all levels with greater visibility into the day-to-day execution of corporate strategy.

For the L-3 Interstate Electronics team, Halogen eAppraisal offered a number of key features including the solutions’ flexibility, ability to provide management at all levels with a snapshot view via a dashboard, and the solution’s workflow features. All of these features combine to make employee appraisals easier and more effective for all those involved.

“Halogen eAppraisal ensures commonality and consistency across all employee reviews,” said Alicia VanBlair, human resources manager with L-3 Interstate Electronics. “In the past, people customized attachments that were added to the original appraisals, resulting in inconsistencies where employees with similar job functions were being held to different standards. With eAppraisal we are able to apply a common standard of measuring success that ties back to our overall business goals.”

Due to inconsistencies resulting from the paper-based EPM system both managers and employees lacked faith in the system and were not invested in the process. The employee tended to write 85 percent of the actual appraisal with minimal input from their manager. When the new Vice President of human resources began with L-3 Interstate Electronics in October 2005 he recognized that time and effort was being wasted and made it a priority to rebuild the process around a new Web-based, automated EPM system.

“The new EPM system will create fairness and equity across the board, with a standard of uniformity regardless of the position or manager,” said VanBlair. “Employees know that managers are putting more energy into reviews, which positively impacts overall morale and performance. Now they know managers and the executive team see what individual employees are contributing to the company on a day-to-day basis.”

About L-3 Interstate Electronics

Only One Week Left to Submit A Video for the Chance to Win $1,000 and Tickets to LA Film Festival

Only One Week Left to Submit A Video for the Chance to Win $1,000 and Tickets to LA Film Festival

Create a Short Video by May 7 to Help Raise Awareness of the National Asbestos Problem

Wellesley, MA (PRWEB) May 5, 2010

Americans have less than 1 week to help draw national attention to asbestos, the toxic, and often deadly, substance considered “the largest manmade public health crisis in history” according to the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO). Using a video camera, Flip camera, webcam or camera phone, anyone can create a 90-120 second video vignette to drive attention to the national asbestos problem and motivate Americans to join the movement to “Ban Asbestos Now.”

“Ban Asbestos Now (http://www. banasbestosnow. net/),” is a campaign to build awareness of the continued use of asbestos in the United States. Each year, 2000-3000 people are diagnosed with mesothelioma (http://www. mesorc. com), a rare form of cancer which is almost always caused by exposure to asbestos (http://www. mesorc. com/asbestos-exposure/what-is-asbestos/). Asbestos has been banned in some 50 countries, however it still exists potentially everywhere throughout the United States, including the ceilings and floors of building that were built before 1980, duct tape, caulking, textured paints, car brakes and automotive parts, and even children’s toys.

To enter the “Ban Asbestos Now” Video Search, create a short video that addresses questions such as, “Did you know asbestos is still legal in the US?”, “Where can you find it?” and “Do you know what diseases it can cause?” The winning individual or team will be sent to the world famous 2010 Los Angeles Film Festival in Westwood Village, receive $1000 cash per person, and the winning video may become the viral platform of the “Ban Asbestos Now” campaign at www. BanAsbestosNow. com. The winner will be announced on May 19th, 2010 by a select panel of judges chosen by Sokolove Law.

For inspiration and ideas about what to highlight in your video submission, join the Ban Asbestos Now Facebook group or follow Ban Asbestos on Twitter. For contest rules, submission guidelines and promotional materials, visit www. BanAsbestosNow. net or contact Sean Galliher

Infectious Virus Hides In Human Chromosomes During Latency And Can Be Passed From Parents To Their Children

Infectious Virus Hides In Human Chromosomes During Latency And Can Be Passed From Parents To Their Children

Virologists surprised to discover that a common herpesvirus hidden in the chromosomes of some individuals has the capacity to be reactivated to an infectious form.

TAMPA, FL (PRWEB) March 8, 2010

Human herpesvirus 6 (http://www. hhv-6foundation. org/) (HHV-6) infects nearly 100% of the human race in early childhood, and the infection then lasts for the rest of a person’s life. In a study funded by the HHV-6 Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports virology research, a team led by Peter Medveczky, MD (http://hsccf. health. usf. edu/researchDirectoryTemplate/depttemplate. cfm? person_id=9162&deptid=27), from the Department of Molecular Medicine at the University of South Florida, has discovered that in some individuals, HHV-6 causes such a permanent infection by inserting or “integrating” its DNA (http://en. wikipedia. org/wiki/DNA) into human chromosomes. From this harbor, the viral DNA cannot be eliminated by the immune system.

The team also confirmed preliminary results by other investigators that, a long time ago, the virus inserted its DNA into the DNA of human sperm and egg cells. As a result, some people (about 1% of people in the U. S.) are born with the virus’s DNA in every cell in their body. Indeed, HHV-6 is the first functional virus of any type reported to be passed through the human germ line.

The team presented clear evidence that the virus can insert its DNA specifically into telomeres (http://en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Telomere) – structures at the ends of each chromosome that play key roles in both aging and cancer.

Finally, the team showed that the chromosomally integrated HHV-6 (http://hhv-6foundation. webs. com/chromosomallyintegrated. htm) (CIHHV-6) genomes can be reactivated to an infectious form.

The findings are a surprise, since other human herpesviruses cause permanent infection by a different mechanism. The round up their DNA into a little circle that resides inside the nucleus of the cell: they do not insert their DNA into the chromosomes.

The paper describing this research was published online in PNAS on March 8. “This is an exciting and provocative series of observations. The questions raised by this work will keep herpes virologists busy for years,” predicted HHV-6 expert Phil Pellett, PhD of Wayne State University.

HHV-6 was discovered in 1986 in the laboratory of Dr. Robert C. Gallo (http://www. ihv. org/about/bios/gallo. html) at the National Cancer Institute after Gallo asked his co-workers to look for a herpesvirus in AIDS lymphoma cases that might be triggering cancer. “In my mind these findings also should stimulate further studies on a possible role of HHV-6 in some cancers as suggested by others who have found a possible link to some lymphomas,” Dr. Gallo commented. “However, clearly more work will be needed to advance any conclusion in this regard.”

HHV-6 causes roseola (http://www. mayoclinic. com/health/roseola/DS00452), a generally benign rash and fever in infants. The virus can reactivate in individuals with suppressed immune systems, sometimes causing serious consequences such as encephalitis, hepatitis, myocarditis, and pneumonia.

Recent research has suggested that HHV-6 may also be associated with diseases in people with apparently healthy immune systems: encephalitis, mesial temporal lobe epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, myocarditis, and idiopathic cardiomyopathy. While there is no proof that the virus plays a causal role in these diseases, the virus has been found more often in the diseased tissue than in healthy tissue.

Previous studies had used a visual technique called fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), which showed that the viral DNA was present at the same location (near the telomeres) of the same chromosome in both parent and child. This strongly suggested but did not prove that the virus was inherited through the germ line in these children. By determining the DNA sequence of the ends of the chromosome, the Medveczky team clearly demonstrated that the HHV-6 genome was integrated into telomere DNA. The team also showed that HHV-6 DNA, unlike other human herpesviruses, does not curl into a circle inside the nucleus.

The great majority of people, however, do not inherit HHV-6 DNA from their parents and do not have it in every cell of their body. Yet nearly everyone becomes permanently infected with the virus. So Medveczky and colleagues wondered if the virus might take up permanent residence in the body by integrating its DNA into the chromosomes of just some cells.

To examine this possibility, the investigators took cells that had never been exposed to HHV-6 and infected them with HHV-6 that had been engineered to make infected cells glow bright green. Sure enough, once the infection died down, the green cells contained HHV-6 DNA integrated into the ends of the chromosomes. When the investigators stimulated the cells with chemicals known to activate other herpesviruses, cells with integrated viral DNA began producing infectious virus. It will be important to learn whether a similar process occurs during the form of HHV-6 infection that occurs in most individuals.

For the approximately one percent of the population born with viral DNA in every cell in their body, several questions arise. Are such people more prone to diseases because they have a greater risk of viral reactivation? If so, which diseases? If a person is born with viral proteins present from birth, would that person’s immune system be “fooled” into thinking that the virus was not foreign and need not be attacked? If so, is that a bad thing or a good thing for a person’s health? Finally, the virus inserts itself into the telomeres and could theoretically disrupt the function of the telomeres. Since the telomeres are important in cellular aging and in cancer, could the insertion of viral DNA in the telomeres have any effect on a cell’s tendency to age or to turn cancerous?

While unique among known human herpesviruses, the capacity of HHV-6 to integrate into human chromosomes is not unique in nature. A herpesvirus that infects chickens, called Marek’s disease virus (http://en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Marek%27s_disease), appears to behave the same way. Interestingly, although the viruses are not otherwise closely related, the DNA sequence used by Marek’s disease virus to integrate into chicken chromosomes is remarkably similar to the DNA sequence used for chromosomal integration by HHV-6.

There are many other unanswered questions that the Florida team hopes to sort out. “We would like to know whether the location of the integration has an impact on pathology.” said Medveczky. “We’d also like to know more about which drugs can provoke reactivation in patients that carry this virus in every cell.”

The University of South Florida (http://www. usf. edu/index. asp) study was funded by the HHV-6 Foundation as well as by a grant (RO1CA111196) from the National Institutes of Health.

Albany Artist Vies for Prize at Outdoor Art Show

Albany Artist Vies for Prize at Outdoor Art Show

Local artist Bhavna Muthyala competes for prize at Outdoor Art Show in Albany.

Albany, NY (PRWEB) August 12, 2006

Indian artist, Bhavna Muthyala, will be showcasing her artwork at the Stockade Villager’s Outdoor Art Show in Schenectady, NY on Saturday, September 9, at 11:00 AM. Muthyala and other local artists will vie for over $1200 in prizes. The public will have the opportunity of purchasing their artwork. The artist will be showcasing several abstract works on canvas along with hand-made greeting cards.

Warmth With A Purpose is a 16 x 20 acrylic piece that speaks to the materialistic world to which we are all subject, yet fight desperately to escape. Muthyala uses black, gold and hues of maroon to create a rich tapestry that is both entrancing and unmistakable.

Sunset, an 18 x 24 acrylic piece, pays homage to the sun. Alternating between fierce and gentle orange and blue brush strokes, Muthyala depicts both the harshness and tranquility of this luminous source. “I love painting in acrylic,” Muthyala states, “It allows me greater room for experimentation and is a medium that I’m very comfortable using.”

Muthyala considers herself a multi-cultural artist who draws inspiration not only from world cultures, but from nature and emotions. She uses a variety of media including acrylic paint, ink and charcoal. Her love of Henna, an ancient Indian art form of painting beautiful designs on the hands, arms and feet of brides and brides-to-be, is quite evident in her hand-made greeting cards. "I'm always excited to see what people take away from my paintings," she beamed. Muthyala will also be showing her work at the Bad As Art Gallery on 316 Delaware Ave in Albany as well as at the Kismet Gallery in Troy. The artist may be reached via email.

Bhavna Muthyala was born in Bangalore, India and graduated from the Eastern Connecticut State University with a degree in Business Administration. She has exhibited her artwork at the Blue Moon Gallery, Fulton Street Gallery and the Green Living Festival. She has also contributed artwork for silent auctions hosted by the Capital District Human Association, the National Kidney Foundation and the Mental Health Association in New York State, Inc.

"What Part of 'Illegal' Do You Not Understand?" to be Title of Immigration Program When Valley Libertarian Group Meets on July 29

"What Part of 'Illegal' Do You Not Understand?" to be Title of Immigration Program When Valley Libertarian Group Meets on July 29

Illegal Immigration panel discussion will feature Carlos Rodriguez, immigration lawyer and Libertarian Party candidate for U. S. Congress, when the Valley Forge supper club meets on Thursday July 29, 2010, in the Nieuport Banquet Room of the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant in Van Nuys, California.

Van Nuys, CA (PRWEB) July 24, 2010

On Thursday July 29, 2010, the Valley Forge Supper Club will feature as its main agenda item a program on the immigration issue, deliberately and provocatively entitled "What Part of 'Illegal' Do You Not Understand?" The event will be held in the Nieuport Room at the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant located at 16320 Raymer St. in Van Nuys with reception beginning at 6:00 pm.

Already confirmed to take part in the evening's presentation are Los Angeles libertarians Ted Brown, Dan Fernandes, and Carlos Rodriguez. Brown has run for office on several occasions and has for many years served to recruit candidates to represent the Libertarian Party on the ballot in California. Fernandes ran in a contested primary for the Assembly District 59 seat. Rodriguez, himself having emigrated from Cuba, by way of New York, works as an immigration lawyer and is a candidate in the U. S. Congressional District 28 race. "All candidates are invited to talk for as long as they care to or dare to," says meeting organizer, Edward Bowers, of the Libertarian Party of the San Fernando Valley (LPSFV). "We want more of a panel discussion than a debate or a one-man show. We have a number of good candidates this year and immigration may not be one of their top issues of focus, but, as they say, if there are ten libertarians in a room, you will find a dozen differences of opinion on one subject, so if anyone has a perspective (fresh or otherwise) on the issue that they are not afraid to share, their participation is encouraged." Although not billed as a debate, "things could get lively," suggested Bowers, as all who attend the banquet will be able to participate once the evening enters Q & A. Also on the agenda there should be a debriefing of Freedom Fest from those in the group who attended the pro-freedom and free-market convention in Las Vegas earlier in the month.

Among the good candidates to which Bowers refers, there are many who hail from the San Fernando Valley region. Those running very active campaigns this season include statewide candidates Rick Bronstein (Insurance Commissioner), Pamela Brown (Lt. Governor) as well as Adrian Galysh, a Senate District 20 candidate, and Erich Miller, who will challenge incumbent Henry Waxman in the 30th Congressional District. Miller's campaign signs declare, "I'm putting Miller in Congress."

The Valley Forge was instituted by Edward Bowers, regional representative of the LPSFV, and currently the Party is the club's only sponsor, although Bowers is looking for co-sponsors as he envisions it as being less of an official Party product, and more of a philosophical libertarian supper club in the grand tradition of Southern California libertarian supper clubs of the past and present. Currently there is the Karl Hess Club which meets on 3rd Mondays in Culver City and they have added another meeting, which convenes just across the Orange County border, called the Konkin-Rothbard Limited because it only is slated to meet in month's where there is a 5th Monday. Similarly the Valley Forge is meant to be an irregular event, meeting only on the 5th Thursday of the month (when there is a 5th Thursday in the month). "It might be too much to ask the libertarian community to support another monthly supper club in L. A.," Bowers explained, "but I was determined to bring more intellectual fare north of Mulholland Drive." Not having to schedule a speaker every month gives Bowers more time to find quality programs. The club's inaugural meeting had a presentation on gun control by Brian Doherty of the Reason Foundation. "If you want folks to come out, Reason is always a good bet," Bowers quipped. "Oddly enough," he noted, "people running for office have not traditionally been a big draw." Yet in election year 2010, candidates have been featured on the agenda. In April, the club had a good turnout for Rick Bronstein, who spoke on healthcare. "When I scheduled him," Bowers reported, "the bill--which I call Corporate WelCare--was still in the House, but by the time Rick spoke, the cheers of 'Yes, we can' had already faded and the big thing in the news was Arizona. I said then that if we could have predicted what the hot current events topic would be, we probably should have scheduled a talk on illegal immigration. Well, here we are three months later, and maybe the oil leak will stay capped long enough that our timing will be right as the debate seems to be heating up again, give or take a few NAACP Tea Party resolutions." Bowers describes himself as "open-minded on open borders. I've heard the Welfare State caveat, and I expect to hear it again Thursday night, but I want more angles than that. I've asked for fearless libertarian perspectives and that is what I'm hoping for." That and a big crowd.

Featuring a unique décor and atmosphere, The 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant is situated at the northeast corner of the Van Nuys airport at 16320 Raymer St. The cross street is Woodley, which in turn intersects Roscoe Blvd, which is freeway close (405 Exit #68). Gathering begins as early as 6:00 PM, and early arrivals are encouraged (as are RSVP's). Dinner should start around 7:00 PM with the program beginning about 7:45 PM. This is a banquet-style event and so there is a set price of $28.00 for the entire dinner which will include the typical choices of meat, chicken, fish, or a vegetarian pasta dish. Members of the press may attend at a reduced cost of $25.00. RSVP to ebowers(at)mac(dot)com.

Savannah: Booms in the Night"

Savannah: Booms in the Night"

Savannah, Georgia is the winner of July's "Noisy Dozen" award from Noise Free America for allowing an avalanche of boom cars to threaten the health and quality of life of its citizens. While savannah presentrs itself as a lovely, serene, Southern city, she holds a deadly secret of drugs, crime, and noise.

(PRWEB) July 7, 2003

Savannah, Georgia is the winner of July's "Noisy Dozen" award from Noise Free America for allowing an avalanche of boom cars to threaten the health and quality of life of its citizens. While Savannah presents itself as a lovely, serene, Southern city, she holds a deadly secret of drugs, crime, and noise.

Savannah is the home of songwriter Johnny Mercer, who wrote "Blues in the Night." Unfortunately, these days Savannah is better known for its constant "Booms in the Night."

Patrice Thomas, a Savannah resident and a registered nurse, commented that "Savannah booms in the night and booms in the day. One afternoon last week, I counted 44 times that we heard bom cars invading the peace and quiet of our home--and it's far worse at night! It's no wonder that so many people are moving to the countryside. Any real estate professional will tell you that a quiet neighborhood adds significant value to your home. Boom car and loud exhaust thugs are robbing the value of people's homes!"

Nurse Thomas also noted that "boom car companies sell their wares by promoting deliquency, bragging about the health risks of noise, and exploiting women. A recent ad for Pioneer Audio states, 'Your neighborhood could use a little wake up' and 'Your neighbors won't just hear you coming; they'll feel you, too.' JBL speakers promise 'bone-crushing bass' that will 'send your neighbors running for cover.' Corwin-Vega voasts that its speakers 'shake the living and wake the dead.' No doubt the constant thumping and pounding disturbs the peace of Mr. Mercer and his neighbors at Savannah's historic Boneventure Cemetery."

Thomas also noted a religious reason to oppose thunderous noise: "The deliberate assault from cars with low-frequency noise violates the sanctity that God has given to human beings," she said. "My heart aches for all the people who no longer have quiet time, to pray, to rest, to meditate, and to love."

Mark Huber, Noise Free America's Communication Director, stated that "noise from boom cars and the deep rumble of 'performance exhausts' on hot rots and motorcycles disrupt the soundscape and distract attention. They drown out the sounds that could alert citizens to danger, including terrorism."

Huber also stated that "I agree with Robert Hightower, Georgia's homeland security task force coordinator, who said, 'The eyes and ears of our citizens remain an invaluable weapons against any terrorist threat, anytime, anywhere.' Mr. Hightower should declare a 'zero toleranace' policy against noise that could mask the sounds of terrorist attacks."

Savannah, like thousands of other American communities, is up against a deeply entrenched and well-hidden network of enemies. Car stereo companies have product placement agreements with Universal Studios (producer of

"2Fast/2Furious"). Primedia Corporation promotes the "living loud" lifestyle in over 40 car stereo and hot rod magazines. The Mobile Enhancement Retailers Association (MERA) and the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) actively tamper with noise legislaiton in states and municipalities, through a netwqork of hot rod clubs and car stereo retailers.

Ted Rueter, Noise Free America's director, commented that "President Bush recently said that 'unwanted telemarketing calls are intrusive, they are annoying, and they are all too common.' Bush signed legislation creating a national 'Do Not Call' list. I applaud his statement and his action. Now what we need," Rueter added, "is a national 'Do Not Boom' list. Unwanted booms from boom cars and loud exhausts are intrusive, annoying, and all too common."

"Only by confronting the multi-billion dollar noise-industrial complex," said Rueter, "can the people of Savannah ever find peace and quiet. Otherwise, boom car boys will continue to boom in the day and boom in the night."

Noise Free America is a national citizens organization opposed to noise pollution. Past winners of the "Noisy Dozen" award include Congressman Darrell Issa, Governor Jesse Ventura, VIPER car alarms, Circuit City, Flowmaster, and Richmond, Virginia. Consumers Discover Natural Ingredients In "Athletic Soap" To Be Effective During Cold & Flu Season

Consumers Discover Natural Ingredients In "Athletic Soap" To Be Effective During Cold & Flu Season

Defense Soap (http://www. defensesoap. com) has been used by combat athletes and competitive wrestlers for years. That's because the natural active ingredients it contains have been known to fight the harmful skin bacteria these athletes encounter in the rough and tumble world of hand-to-hand combat. Now, consumers who are concerned about cold & flu season have found a new use for this soap.

Lakewood, OH (PRWEB) January 6, 2009

Defense Soap (http://www. defensesoap. com (http://www. defensesoap. com)) has been used by combat athletes and competitive wrestlers for years. That's because the natural active ingredients it contains have been known to fight the harmful skin bacteria these athletes encounter in the rough and tumble world of hand-to-hand combat.

Now, consumers who are concerned about cold & flu season have found a new use for this soap. One of the main active ingredients in Defense Soap is the natural essential oil Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil (http://www. defensesoap. com/learning-center/active-ingredients. html). Eucalyptus oil has powerful and antimicrobial properties. The natural healing powers of eucalyptus have been widely known among holistic health practitioners for thousands of years. The Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS), which is the official compendium for Homeopathic Drugs in the U. S. and is recognized by the FDA, recognizes eucalyptus oil for these benefits. Though much less significant than it's antimicrobial properties it seems the oil's potent aromatic attributes helps to open airway passages --allowing users to breathe easier. Combining the powers of Eucalyptus Oil with Defense Soap's other natural essential oils like Melaleuca Alternifolia (http://www. defensesoap. com/learning-center/active-ingredients. html) (Tea Tree) Oil --which is also thought to combat the skin-dwelling bacteria that are involved in causing infections--creates a sense of well being and at the same time works to keep the natural skin flora in balance. In practice, it is generally agreed that healthy skin is better prepared to utilize it's natural immunities to fight off germs.

"Defense Soap is more than an athletic soap… It's a first line of defense against a lot of skin issues... including MRSA, ringworm, herpes and impetigo", says Guy Sako, the inventor of Defense Soap.

Since Defense Soap (http://www. defensesoap. com) uses only pharmaceutical grade natural essential oils so it's less harsh on the skin's healthy bacteria. There are no dyes or harsh chemicals. The ingredients in Defense Soap have undergone rigorous clinically testing.

About Defense Soap

While there is a preponderance of testing (http://www. defensesoap. com/learning-center/defense-soap-clinical-study. html) and reams of testimonial (http://www. defensesoap. com/testimonials. html) support, Defense Soap is not intended to treat, diagnose or mitigate skin diseases, colds or flu. For products that are not classified as OTC drugs, the FDA prohibits claims of anti-fungal or anti-bacterial properties for products using natural ingredients for these purposes. Defense Soap assumes no responsibility if you prescribe for yourself. If you suspect you have a skin disease or infection you must consult with a physician. Defense Soap is manufactured by registered FDA facilities.

New Teleseminar From HSA for America Helps Consumers Understand Health Savings Accounts

New Teleseminar From HSA for America Helps Consumers Understand Health Savings Accounts

Learn about Health Savings Accounts in a new Teleseminar offered by HSA for America.

Fort Collins, CO (PRWEB) November 9, 2006

Over 3 million people are now covered by health insurance plans that work with Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), and many more are rushing to sign up for one before January 1 in order to lock in their tax savings for 2007. Because these plans are still relatively new, there is still some confusion about how they work. So HSA for America is putting on a teleseminar titled, "Is an HSA Right For You?". The teleseminar is scheduled for Friday, November 10 from 3:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m. EST.

"This teleseminar is designed to help the person who is purchasing their own individual or family health insurance plan make an informed decision" said Wiley Long, President of HSA for America. "Because of the lower premiums, the tax savings, and the potential to save for future medical expenses, HSA plans have become extremely popular among people who are buying their own individual plans. Callers will learn how HSA plans work, how to calculate their premiums, and how to calculate their income tax savings."

Health Savings Accounts are special tax-favored accounts where anyone with a qualifying high deductible health insurance plan can put aside tax-free money to pay for future medical expenses. The money can be used for virtually any type of medical expense, and money left in the account rolls over and grows tax deferred like an IRA. The teleseminar will cover:

– How HSA plans compare to conventional co-pay health insurance

– How to use your HSA to build a Medical Retirement Account

– How an HSA can make all medical expenses tax-deductible

– When an HSA can be used to pay for alternative care like acupuncture or homeopathy

– The types of HSA-qualified health insurance plans available

– How to choose a plan and apply for coverage

– How to establish a health savings account

The HSA for America teleseminar is offered to registered participants at no charge. For more information about the Health Savings Account Teleseminar and how to sign up, visit: http://www. HSAforAmerica. com/teleseminar. htm (http://www. HSAforAmerica. com/teleseminar. htm)

3,200-Mile Barefoot Charity Run to Step Off Wednesday, September 9 in New York

3,200-Mile Barefoot Charity Run to Step Off Wednesday, September 9 in New York

Tellman Knudson starts his barefoot run from New York to L. A. to raise $100 million dollars to help homeless youth. Press conference begins at 8:30 a. m. at the North Cove Marina at Battery Park, September 9, with a one-mile fun run planned for 8:45 a. m.

Brattleboro, Vt. (Vocus) August 28, 2009

History will be made in lower Manhattan on 9/9/09.

Tellman Knudson (http://runtellmanrun. com/barefoot/cross-country/marathon/bio-video-posted/) will launch his 3,200-mile, barefoot journey across America on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 in New York City's Battery Park with a one-mile fun run along the Esplanade. The event is the first of several stops along his trans-continental trek to raise 100 million dollars for homeless youth.

Knudson chose Battery Park as his starting point with the Statue of Liberty as the backdrop. "I wanted to include this incredible symbol of liberty, support and acceptance. It is what so many young people need, and something I hope I can give them through my efforts," said Knudson.

Knudson will begin his record-setting (http://www. runtellmanrun. com) run at 8:45 a. m. following a press conference at 8:30 a. m. that will feature representatives of the New York City mayor's office, a professor from Columbia University's School of Social Work, and Knudson himself. The purpose of the press conferences is to bring attention to the plight of vulnerable youths and what Knudson's run will do to help address it. All media are invited to attend.

“I’m doing this to challenge myself and to raise money to help struggling young people, " said Knudson. "This cause is dear to me, so to get people's attention I'm running barefoot."

Approximately 200 individuals have run across the continental United States, but no one has ever attempted it barefoot. "Oh yeah, people call me crazy (http://www. youtube. com/watch? v=qDavD1nv8HE) all the time. Plus, look at me. I look like Forrest Gump with no shoes on," said Knudson. “But the only way to accomplish incredible things is to set really ambitious goals."

Knudson is inviting runners and walkers of all shapes and sizes to join him on a one-mile fun run before he starts his 3,200-mile journey (http://runtellmanrun. com/route-map/). This "prologue" starts at the North Cove Marina in Battery Park city and runs along the beautiful esplanade before looping back to finish at the Marina. Participants are encouraged to arrive at 8:00 a. m. to register and join the press conference before joining the run. "Bring shoes if you'd like," said Tellman. "No one expects you to run barefoot. But if you do, that's awesome!"

About Tellman Knudson:

Tellman Knudson, 31, is a serial entrepreneur who has had great success in internet marketing. He is CEO of OvercomeEverything, ListBuildingClub and several other ventures. Tellman learned to leverage his ADHD, a condition that hinders many, to his creative and financial benefit. He has even been CEO of a busy hypno-therapy practice. Tellman overcame femoral antiversion, a debilitating leg condition, to compete on his high school cross country running team, setting several school records and competing for the New Hampshire state championship. Tellman resides in Vermont with his wife and long-time partner, Jodi Meehan, and toddler son, Torgor.

About RunTellmanRun: (http://www. runtellmanrun. com)

Tellman Knudson seeks to be the first person to run across America barefoot. He begins his 3,200+ mile journey in Battery Park, New York on September 9th and heads west, running the equivalent of one marathon a day. The route follows historic Route 66 for much of the way, with stops in Cleveland, Chicago, St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Phoenix and finishing on the pier in Santa Monica, California.

About Teenage Homelessness:

Over two million youth (between the ages of 12 and 24) will experience at least one episode of homelessness each year and over 100,000 youth sleep on the street for 6 months or more in America. The vast majority of homeless, street-dependent youth will experience amplified risk of exposure to physical assault, rape, sexual exploitation, recruitment into gangs, and deepening mental health illnesses. Tellman Knudson has set a goal of raising $100 million dollars to help create the programs to reduce the risk these youth face on a daily basis, help get them off the streets, and rebuild their lives.

Run with Tellman:

Join Tellman Knudson for a section of his journey across America. Organized running events are planned for major cities along the route. Visit http://www. runtellmanrun. com (http://www. runtellmanrun. com) for a complete listing of events.

Emerging Technology Credited With Reading Success

Emerging Technology Credited With Reading Success

The Reading Program at Neighborhood Houses improves reading level of 92% of the children in the program and establishes validation for a new class of computer solutions, an EXPERT Reading System.

(PRWEB) August 29, 2004

Neighborhood Houses, a non-profit, after-school program in St. Louis, reported an improvement in 92 percent of the children enrolled. Twenty-four children achieved average performance, or higher, on reading skills over a 14 week period. Previously, all of the children were reading below their grade level. Roxanne Crawford, Director of Programs, credits StudyDog, an internet-based reading program. “Not only are we very satisfied with the reading skills the children have developed, but so are their teachers. They definitely noticed the improvement”, said Crawford.

The Neighborhood Houses are located in the extremely depressed areas of Northern St. Louis, Missouri. They serve mostly African-American children and their families, providing a safe, welcoming, after-school environment and community services to economically deprived families. The StudyDog Reading Program was adopted as the literacy strand for the kindergarten, first and second-grade children attending the after school program.

The StudyDog reading program represents a new class of computer-based reading programs called Expert Reading Systems. An Expert Reading System emulates the perfect human tutor and, hence, strives to achieve the same results the perfect tutor would, but for a fraction of the cost, in a shorter time period. It is available anytime and anywhere there is a computer and an internet connection. Like the best reading tutor, StudyDog knows the child’s needs because it assesses the child’s reading skills online and personalizes a program for the child. The reading lessons that are taught are effective because all of the StudyDog curriculum was developed under the guidelines of the National Reading Panel and has been validated. Furthermore, due to its technology, StudyDog engages the child for 15 minute lessons and keeps them engaged for an extended period where real learning can occur. Finally, the StudyDog Expert reading system continuously measures the child’s performance and issues reports to the parent and/or the teacher. “StudyDog takes on its shoulders the responsibility to help struggling readers,” said Deme Clainos, CEO and president of StudyDog. “Rather than require parents to learn how to teach reading skills or to take their children to a learning center or tutor, StudyDog supplies them with a proven system that children consider to be akin to a video game. The kids love the game and the parents love the results.”

Teachers have become fond of StudyDog, also. Wanda Brownridge, an instructor at Neighborhood Houses said, “We Loooove StudyDog”.

About Neighborhood Houses

Neighborhood Houses, located in St. Louis, Missouri, is a neighborhood-centered, faith-based organization that supports families by helping children become hopeful, healthy and self-sustaining members of the community. For further information, contact Roxanne Crawford, 314-383-1733.

About StudyDog

StudyDog, developers of the StudyDog Expert Reading System, a system targeted to children from pre-K thru 2nd grade, is headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon. The product is available for download from StudyDog. com and provides a personalized reading course via an Internet connection. Gary Barg, Caregiving Expert, Offers 5 Tips to AmericaÂ’s 25 Million Caregivers

Gary Barg, Caregiving Expert, Offers 5 Tips to AmericaÂ’s 25 Million Caregivers

In the new paperback edition of his book "The Fearless Caregiver," Gary Barg provides expert advice to family caregivers

(PRWEB) October 3, 2003

More than 25,000,000 Americans are family caregivers, and the numbers are growing. While they are giving care, family caregivers rarely get a rest. Gone are the days when you could rely on others to do the work of caring for a loved one in your family. America's healthcare system throws many of the vital decisions, costs and burdens back on the family. Gary Barg, the editor of TodayÂ’s Caregiver Magazine and author of "The Fearless Caregiver," which was just released in paperback, suggests 5 tips for the many family caregivers:

1) Don’t be afraid to ask for help. “Don’t feel you have to be a hero. If the situation begins to put a strain on you, get help. Accept the help that people offer and suggest specific things that they can do for you. Ask one of them to sit with your loved one for a few hours. Ask another to pick up groceries,” says Gary Barg.

2) Organize all important medical and financial documents. Gary recommends, “Keep records of all medications and reactions: make notes about what works, what doesn’t and when you informed the physician of any problems. Keep records of all doctor appointments: the reason for the visit, the doctor’s responses to our concerns, any procedures performed, etc. Start or continue to maintain copies of medical records for your loved one, and for yourself, as well. These will be beneficial should a grievance arise or if there are questions about medical histories. Keep a record of where all-important documents are kept. When an emergency or tragedy occurs, locating information should not be where we spend our thoughts and energies.”

3) Become an effective advocate for your loved one and patient. “In today’s health care system, caregivers must learn to be effective advocates for their loved one and patient, not only with doctors and other health care professionals, but with the insurance and HMO industries as well.”

4) Be alert to caregiver burnout. From The Fearless Caregiver, “It is important for all of us to make the effort to recognize the signs of burnout. In order to do this we must be honest and willing to hear feedback from those around us. This is especially important for those caring for family or friends. Too often caregivers who are not closely associated with the healthcare profession get overlooked and lost in the commotion of medical emergencies and procedures.

5) Know when to get professional help. According to Gary Barg, “When in-home caregiving becomes more than you or your family can handle, when your loved one’s condition demands more professional help, consider hiring a geriatric care manager or finding a caregiver friendly facility.”

Gary E. Barg is the founder, publisher and editor-in-chief of TodayÂ’s Caregiver Magazine and TodayÂ’s Caregiver Online, which were founded in 1995. He is a recognized expert in the field of family caregiving and has appeared on the Today Show, NBC Morning Show, and in interviews with American Health for Women, The Miami Herald, InvestorÂ’s Business Daily, and other major publications. As publisher of TodayÂ’s Caregiver, he has interviewed such celebrities as Dr. Bernie Siegel, Actor Robert Urich, Nic and Marc Buoniconti, Peri Gilipin, Art Linkletter and Dana Reeves. He has spoken at the National AIDS conference, been keynote speaker at the International Senior Fair, and master of ceremonies at SHARING WISDOM, the national Caregivers Conference, for the past three years. He lives in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Minnesotans ‘Weigh-In’ on the Effectiveness of the TrekDesk Treadmill Desk

TrekDesk treadmill desks allow an individual to walk all day while working. The health benefits are multiple and reviews from Forbes. US News & World Report, CNN and Minnesota corporate and home users have been excellent.

Phoenix, AZ (Vocus) December 16, 2010

TrekDesk Treadmill Desks, completing their first year of sales, has received favorable reviews from Forbes, US News & World Report, CNN, FOX, CBS, ABC, NBC and NPR. The reviews from Minnesota residents who use the TrekDesk on a daily basis have also been excellent.

KL in Faribault, MN noticed an immediate benefit. “I am a fitness nut and workout frequently but you have helped me take my fitness to the next level. First day I setup my new TrekDesk I walked 7 miles and that was after I already worked out. It makes working on my laptop way more fun! GREAT workspace for me. I LOVE my new TrekDesk and look forward to working while walking vs sitting on my ‘chair’.”

Designed to fit any existing treadmill, TrekDesk is an affordable, full sized workstation that allows individuals the opportunity to gain the necessary amount of exercise daily to maintain health, prevent disease, strengthen muscles, boost mood and productivity, without requiring additional time during the day or extra motivation.

DS, a tax professional in Maple Lake, MN battled trying to find extra time in the day to exercise before the TrekDesk but now has that handled, “TrekDesk helped me get in my daily walking when I work long hours. I sometimes work 10-12 hour days during tax season & this gets me off the chair for some of those hours. Depending on the work season. 2-4 hours during my busy season & on the weekends sometimes 6-8 hours."

“The reviews TrekDesk receives speaks volumes as to the effectiveness of walking while working. Our mission is to start a ‘Movement Revolution’, convincing Americans that movement throughout the day will dramatically improve their health, mood, weight and productivity. These reviews help ignite the conversation,” stated Steve Bordley, CEO of TrekDesk. com.

Comprehensive Healthcare for Women, PA Launches Sophrona Sage Portal™

Comprehensive Healthcare for Women, PA Launches Sophrona Sage Portal™

New patient registration faster and much smoother for doctors and staff at OBGYN practice after launch of Sophrona Solutions Sage Portal online patient communication system.

St. Paul, MN (PRWEB) September 22, 2006

Two months after implementation of Sophrona Solutions’ Sage Portal™ as its online patient communication system, Comprehensive Healthcare for Women, PA is realizing the increased clinical efficiency and patient convenience it had sought says Kay Olson, Office Manager. “Our doctors are able to see new patients faster because this technology has improved the flow of paperwork in our office.”

Within two weeks of launch, the HIPAA secure patient portal was handling 50% of Comprehensive Healthcare for Women, PA’s new patient registrations online. New patients now routinely register online to provide their full medical history, demographic, and insurance information at all hours of the day – when it’s convenient for them. They no longer come to the office early to fill out paperwork for their first appointment. Instead, when they arrive, they sign a form, sit down and are promptly shown to an examination room.

"We can now basically treat our new patients as existing patients when they arrive. The flow is much more smooth and efficient," said Sam Arnold, MD, the president of the group. “There is nothing worse than having a new patient arrive for a 9am appointment and then be roomed at 9:25am. I’m just starting out my day and am already 25 minutes behind.”

Comprehensive Healthcare for Women, PA wanted to give its patients a way of conveniently scheduling appointments, paying bills, and filling out new patient registration without phone hassles and after hours. At the same time, the online patient communication solution needed to provide office staff with an easy to use, intuitive, and secure way of viewing and responding to patient communication. “We wanted the ability to view and respond to patient communication quickly and easily,” said Olson. “Sophrona clearly delivered this in its software. The office portal component of this solution is obviously designed for usability. Learning how to use it took less than 15 minutes.”

About Comprehensive Healthcare for Women, PA

Comprehensive Healthcare for Women, P. A. is committed to providing a more personal approach to medical care specifically for women. From its office in the southeast suburbs of St. Paul, its four board-certified health professionals offer comprehensive health care services for women in obstetrical and gynecological medicine and are supported by a full range of services including clinical labs and ultra sounds.
