Hixson Appoints Ryne Stefanacci to Environmental Group
Move Strengthens FirmÂ’s Offerings in Environmental, Health & Safety

Hixson, a Cincinnati-based architecture, engineering and interior design firm, announced today that it has appointed Ryne Stefanacci, E. I.T, to the position of Project Engineer in the firmÂ’s Environmental, Health & Safety group. In this capacity, Stefanacci will be responsible for solving challenging problems in pollution prevention, emissions control, environmental permitting and reporting, safety, and regulatory interpretation.

Prior to Hixson, Stefanacci was a principal environmental engineer with Abbott LaboratoriesÂ’ Ross Products division in Columbus, Ohio, where he was responsible for providing environmental strategy and leadership for all U. S. facilities. Chief successes included identifying projects and cost estimates to reduce division-wide emissions by more than half over a five-year period, directing a wastewater reuse/reduction program that reduced effluents by 72% over five years within one plant and managing the companyÂ’s radiation, hazardous materials, loss prevention, and emergency response safety programs. Previously, Stefanacci held engineering positions with Drakenfeld Colors/Ciba-Geigy, ENSR and Union Carbide.
Stefanacci, who holds a B. S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, will be relocating to the Greater Cincinnati area from the Columbus suburb of Gahanna.
