San Diego, CA (PRWEB) October 22, 2008

As kids are back in school and the holidays are on the horizon, women throughout the San Diego region can take a quick break from their hectic, overscheduled lives to relax with their girlfriends at the ultimate day out for women - the Head to Toe Women's Expo! (http://www. headtotoewomensexpo. com) Set for Nov. 7, 8 and 9 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, more than 10,000 women are expected to relax and unwind at the three-day extravaganza.

Presented by Ralphs Grocery, San Diego's original Head to Toe Women's Expo gives mothers, daughters, and girlfriends a chance to reconnect during a weekend of shopping, pampering, makeovers, inspirational speakers and more. Attendees can stroll through a village of apparel, jewelry, handbags, accessories, wine, gourmet foods, and home décor. Guests truly enjoy the affordability and accessibility to unique fashion finds from nearly 200 local and regional entrepreneurs, businesses, and designers. To make the Expo experience more interesting, attendees can participate in a specially-designed "Treasure Hunt" throughout the Expo for a chance to win prizes and items from vendors.

There is a stellar line-up of lifestyle experts who will present at the Head to Toe Women's Expo. New this year is a presentation by Constance Ramos (http://www. headtotoewomensexpo. com), color specialist and host of "Color Correction," which airs nationally Friday evenings at 9 p. m. on HGTV. In "Color Correction," Ramos bails out homeowners with a particular color disaster, one room at a time. Ramos, who was also one of the original members of the design team on the popular "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," will share her home makeover tips so you too can avert color disasters and will answer audience questions to common color dilemmas. There will also be a drawing for one lucky guest to win a color and design consultation with Ramos at the Head to Toe Women's Expo.

With an emphasis on health, happiness, style and a balanced life, the Head to Toe Women's Expo offers something for every woman. Also new this year are inspirational lifestyle presentations by regional authors and experts. Claudia Johnson from EXCLAMATIONS! Gifts arrives in time to share the art of building a themed gift basket. Author Dr. Leslie Van Romer will offer simple, practical direction in her high-energy presentation based on her weight loss and health management guide "Getting into Your Pants." Linda-Anne Kahn from Beauty Kliniek in University City will share her insight to look and feel your best through proven aromatherapy and wellness strategies.

Gardening guru Tiger Palafox from Mission Hills Nursery will share tips and trends on how to develop fragrance in your garden and bring those sweet smells into your home. Palafox was featured on TLC and HGTV's "The 25 Most Common Landscape Mistakes." The Culinary Stage will feature demonstrations and savory samples by Chef Kevin Templeton of Zocalo Nuevo Latin and Chef Orion Balliet of Azul La Jolla. Ralphs Grocery will present the Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Party where guests can sip and savor the best tastes for the holiday season on Friday and Saturday. The demonstrations and samplings are always a crowd favorite.

Expo apparel will be featured in two inspiring Fashion Shows during the weekend, with models from Rady Children's Hospital Women's Auxiliary. Attendees will also take a step back in time to celebrate their accomplishments with a presentation and fashion show of vintage dress from the 1700's to the 1950's presented by Dr. Sue Gonda, the curator of the Women's History Museum and Educational Center of San Diego.
