Hydraulic Leg, a new series of illustrated adventure stories geared towards raising the self-esteem of all children regardless of race, nationality, and those with disabilities announces the forthcoming first book and celebrity media tour.
Hydraulic Leg, the brainchild of creator Greg Furie, delivers a comprehensive approach to children’s issues by showcasing that “a disability is no different than someone’s skin color. We’re all alike,” said creator Greg Furie. This is all done in a character driven storyline that involves a boy named Jonas and his peers that explore life’s possibilities.
Jonas Paxton and his fellow students, parents, and teachers deal with the day-to-day issues faced by young kids from all walks of life. Whether it's bullies or tormentors, Jonas shows that children are able to cope. But even more than cope, they are turned into superheroes enabling them to make healthy choices in a World filled with diverse possibilities.
“Strength, determination, personal character and loyalty are like super powers,” added Furie. “In a World dominated by differences, it takes a lot of courage and self-worth to feel empowered as a child whether it is physical or socio-economic.”
Initial reaction to the Hydraulic Leg series has prompted many champions of children’s issues to come forth including World re-known Sumo wrestler and media icon Emanuel “Tiny” Yarbrough who is lending his support as part of a forthcoming tour. Tiny as he is known throughout the World has always been a champion of children’s causes and believes that Hydraulic Leg will be one of the first to address ALL forms of children’s issues.
Hydraulic Leg is planning a series of celebrity and charity events around the release of the book that is scheduled for July 15, 2006 and will soon be announcing additional endorsements. For more information, please contact media relations at www. hydraulicleg. com.
