Supplemental Health Care's Denver Divisions Awarded Prestigious JCAHO Health Care Staffing Services Gold Seal of Approval Certification

Program Assures Clients, Talent of Company's Commitment, Professionalism

PARK CITY, UT (PRWEB) February 8, 2006

Supplemental Health Care, Inc., the world's fastest growing private health care staffing company, announced today that its Denver nursing and allied divisions have earned the Gold Seal of Approval(tm) for health care staffing services presented by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Founded in 1951, JCAHO, www. jcaho. org, is the nation's oldest and largest standards setting and accrediting body in health care. An independent, non-profit organization, JCAHO was established to improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public through the provisions of health care accreditation and related services that support performance improvement in health care organizations.

"Health care organizations that contract with Supplemental Health Care can look to this certification as an assurance of the company's commitment to providing and continuously improving quality health care services," said Michele Sacco, executive director, Health Care Staffing Services Certification (HCSS) Program, JCAHO.

To be honored with the Joint Commission's HCSS Certification, Supplemental Health Care's Denver divisions specifically complied with national standards involving staff’s competency, staff placement procedures and employee performance monitoring.

According to Supplemental Health Care's Denver division manager, nursing, Jennifer Caughlin, this certification positively impacts facilities and health care professionals working with Supplemental Health Care, in that:

-Medical facilities can confidently turn to Supplemental Health Care for certified, qualified health care professionals to meet their work force needs; and

-Nurses and therapists contracting with Supplemental Health Care are assured they are working with the area's top organizations to provide quality care and successful patient outcomes.

The JCAHO certification is largely due to the company's implementation of core values centered on integrity, candor, accountability, respect and excellence, referred to as "I CARE." These values drive the company's dedication to providing superior service, support and professionalism to both clients and health care employees.

"It is an immense honor to be recognized for our dedication to providing clients with nurses and therapists who are qualified to provide safe, high-quality care to patients," added Denver division manager, allied, Jill Fowler. "We know clients and talent value our "I CARE" system and this certification underscores its importance to the industry."

Along with the Denver nursing and allied divisions, Supplemental Health Care's Park City, Utah travel therapy division and Tampa, Fla. nursing and allied divisions comprise the first five Supplemental Health Care divisions to achieve the JCAHO Gold Seal of Approval.

About the Health Care Staffing Services Certification Program:

The Joint Commission's HCSS Certification Program is an independent, thorough evaluation of staffing firms' abilities to provide competent staffing services and was developed in 2004 to meet quality oversight needs resulting from the ongoing shortages of nurses and other health care personnel. It has successfully established the first set of formalized quality standards to which staffing companies are subjected.
