In Sept., 2001 Jessica's (my dachshund) life fell apart, which devastated us. Jessica began bruising all over her body. Every time we touched her it left hand prints. It happened suddenly. She was diagnosed with Thrombocytopenia. Thrombocytopenia is a disorder in which the number of platelets (a type of blood cell) is abnormally low, sometimes associated with abnormal bleeding. Causes are: poisoning, allergies, or idiopathic (unknown). For 14 months, she was under continuous medical treatment 24/7. They had only given her a 50% chance to live, treatment ended January 2003.
During her illness I spent all my time making fashionable doggie clothing and accessories. Jessica loves to be dressed up. Jessica is my inspiration. She was special to survive such a horrible tragedy. We decided that other people and pets could benefit from JessicaÂ’s tragedy. So we created Jessicas Original Designer Collars and Leads.
