The Chinese Biopharmaceutical Association-USA (CBA) announced today that it is hosting its 2010 Chinese New Year Gala this February 21 at Glenview Mansion at Rockville Civic Center Park, Maryland which is open to all interested parties.
The annual CBA Chinese New Year Gala is one of the most prestigious networking events in the Greater Washington D. C. area. With hundreds of invited attendees, including CEOs of local and international biopharmaceutical companies, entrepreneurs, scientists, venture capitalists, U. S. government officials, and officials from the Chinese Embassy, the 2010 CBA New Year's Gala is a unique networking opportunity for those who are interested in interacting with key personnel in the U. S. and Chinese biopharmaceutical industries.

In addition, the CBA announced today that its 15th annual conference will be held on June 12-13 at the USM Shady Grove Center, in Rockville, Maryland.
“Over the past decade, the CBA has played an integral role in fostering collaborations among global biopharmaceutical companies, the life sciences and healthcare communities in China. Our goal is to expand our leading role in this effort and enhance the pace of collaboration building through a variety of specially designed activities. CBA’s annual conference is the centerpiece of this effort, said Yifan Zhai, M. D., Ph. D., president of the Chinese Biopharmaceutical Association-USA.
A recent letter addressed to Dr. Yifan Zhai, United States Senator Barbara A. Mikulski says, “Since its inception in 1995, the CBA has been true to its mission to promote science, technology and business development in biopharmaceutical disciplines." And another letter addressed to Gala attendees, Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley says “By fostering collaboration among Chinese American professionals in Maryland and across the world, your efforts are helping us pursue the stronger future we all prefer.”
With its theme of Biopharmaceutical Medicines: Development and Commercialization without Borders, the 15th CBA annual conference includes five sessions:
