Portland’s Mt. Tabor Dental to Trick or Treat for America’s Toothfairy Campaign This Halloween

This Halloween, Mt. Tabor Dental is partnering with National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s Toothfairy® (NCOHF) to raise money for children in need of oral health care during the first annual Trick or Treat for America’s Toothfairy campaign.
“We are excited to be involved with this cause and to help raise money to treat and prevent pediatric dental disease,” said Dr. Todd L. Beck, DMD of Mt. Tabor Dental. “Halloween is the perfect time to remind children and adults of the importance of oral health care.”
Portland residents are invited to visit Mt. Tabor Dental at 728 SE 60th Avenue, Portland, OR 97215 to donate loose change or pick up a Trick or Treat for America’s Toothfairy fundraising kit to help raise money for nonprofit pediatric oral health programs serving at-risk children. One hundred percent of the money raised will provide dental care and education to children in underserved populations.
Research shows that more than 40 percent of American children will suffer from pediatric dental disease before they reach kindergarten. It is the most common chronic childhood illness and can cause pain that disrupts a child’s ability to eat, sleep and learn. According to the CDC, oral disease is five times more common among children than asthma and seven times more common than hay fever.
NCOHF is an independent national nonprofit organization solely focused on eliminating pediatric dental disease. Since it was founded in 2006, the NCOHF Affiliate network of nonprofit pediatric oral health programs has provided comprehensive care to more than one million at-risk children. Thanks to generous corporate underwriters, 100 percent of donations go directly to this Affiliate network and the children it serves.

Dr. Todd L. Beck, DMD, is a dentist serving the greater Portland, Oregon area for over 10 years through his successful practice, Mt. Tabor Dental (http://www. mttabordental. com (http://www. mttabordental. com)). Dr. Beck earned his dental degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1994, and completed his general practice residency at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
