Wellington, FL (PRWEB) April 12, 2006

It's the 'mother' of all holidays. And while moms across America celebrate this day off, today it is celebrated with step moms, in-laws and in the spirit of today's alarming statistic of over two million divorces in the U. S. each year, The Single Mom. Amy Botwinick, Author of the 'girlfriend's guide,' "CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR DIVORCE: The Road To Finding Your Happily Ever After" is plowing forward with an empowering journey for divorced women. Thursday, May 25, 2006, Botwinick will bring a festive celebration to Barnes & Noble (The Shoppes at Wellington Green 10500 West Forest Hill Blvd. * Wellington, FL 33414* 561-792-1292) at 7 p. m. with a one-of-a-kind empowering, fun-filled evening.

Botwinick, a Boca Raton resident -- single mother of two -- 12-year Chiropractor-turned-first-time author has been pro-actively on a multi-hyphenate mission of her own to help women become armed with education and information. A portion of the proceeds from book and product sales on Botwinick's website will go to victims of domestic violence and women's shelters, helping moms get back on their feet for themselves and their children in a healthy environment.

"Going through my divorce and transitioning into being a single parent was not easy. For me, I think the good thing about being a single parent is coming to realize that I can do it, even if it's not perfect I'm making it work. I also enjoy the extra closeness I feel with my kids; there is this tightness we have that is unspoken that we all just get," states Botwinick.

From the Wonder Woman superhero to the '70s Enjoli Woman ("I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan, and never ever let you forget you're a man, cuz I'm a woman"), Botwinick's book shares the reality of the ever-changing role of women in today's society and how women today are experiencing a whole new world in the divorce process. While the emotional rollercoaster may be overwhelming to most, Botwinick is on a mission to change the way we talk about dealing with divorce, utilizing inspiration, providing the emotional, financial, legal tools and even battery operated ones to move through the journey of divorce. Written as a form of survival and therapeutic evolvement through her own divorce, Botwinick helps women to move on with life and evolve with the times. Her own website www. todaysdivorcedwoman. com is a continuation of her book, hand-holding sisters all over the world to get through the paving of a new harmonious life. With a network of over 750 women on Myspace. com/todaysdivorcedwoman, she invites women all over the globe to 'join the sisterhood' for emotional support and survival.
