Tanworld Surveys Provide Contrasting Viewpoints

TWI Franchising, Inc. (dba; tanworld franchises), one of the leading USA professional indoor tanning franchises, has initiated a series of surveys polling their customers. These surveys are intended to gauge client based perspectives regarding indoor tanning. tanworld intends to incorporate the survey responses to enhance in their client needs assessment moving forward.

In the first of a series of surveys, 83% of respondents agreed that politicians and elected officials don’t trust the public to make prudent selections with their health choices and feel new laws will make their choices for them.“We suspected that this is what people were feeling, but we had no idea that such a large majority were in agreement. Indoor tanning offers a controlled method to obtain a cosmetic tan and minimize the risk of sunburn and we want to ensure that not only our customers but the public as well is informed of that fact.”

In addition over 87% of those surveyed also indicated that they don’t follow the warning to “stay out of the sun between 10am-4pm.” Cosgrove says that this would be almost impossible and certainly impractical for parents with children at home during the summer. “The public would probably follow more prudent suggestions such as ‘using SPF’s and avoiding overexposure and sunburn’ as opposed to completely avoiding the sun,” claimed Cosgrove.

Recent reports on indoor tanning revealed over 90% of those polled agreed that the news is not only distorted, but that typically a negative viewpoint is depicted about indoor tanning. “This was also not surprising. These surveys are another method that allows us to keep touch with our customers and get the ‘pulse’ of our diverse base. tanworld, inc. will continue to implement the client based response surveys as proactive approach to enhance franchise efforts asking our customers a variety of topics ranging from the media, personal choices, government controls, outdoor vs. indoor UV exposure and more,” said Cheri Cosgrove, President and CEO of TWI Franchising, Inc.
