She will share her vast knowledge of the natural world, green allies, plant journeying, the secret language of plants, and much more! With the help of local guides, you will also be able to learn about the medicinal uses of the plants in the area.
You will have the opportunity to partake in many adventures during your trip. Hike in a biological reserve and see for yourself how the virgin rainforest is the most biologically diverse ecosystem on the planet. Walking through it is like taking a step back in time.
Visit a botanical garden and an indigenous reserve. Here you will be able to observe an incredible quantity of medicinal plants, while locals teach about the traditions and beliefs of the native peoples. You will also be able to tour a 30-acre environmentally conscious farm that strives for sustainable living through the use of eco-technology.
Boating and kayaking in the crystal clear waters off the Caribbean coast will provide you with a breathtaking experience. Daily yoga and meditation classes, and a dip in the jacuzzi, will help nourish and invigorate. You will also have plenty of time to relax and swim on the glistening beaches, as well as at the retreat center.
Located 30 miles south of Puerto Limon, Samasuti is an exquisite retreat center situated on 250 acres of virgin rainforest overlooking the Caribbean Sea. It is the perfect place for adventure, rejuvenation, and contemplation. You will stay in guesthouses (with shared bathrooms) or bungalows (with private bathrooms). Eating a marvelous, whole foods diet will nourish and support you throughout your adventure.
The cost for An Herbal Adventure to Costa Rica is $1950 for double or triple occupancy (inquire about single occupancy). This includes all transportation within Costa Rica, accommodations at Samasuti Retreat Center, three wonderfully nutritious and delicious vegetarian meals per day, all instructions, and entrance fees. What is not included in trip cost is airfare to Costa Rica, trip insurance, and items of a personal nature such as phone calls, laundry, etc. A few meals are left to the individual, so you can have the opportunity to select your own dining experience a few times during the trip.
A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your place; another $850 is due by September 1st, 2004. The remaining $850 is due by December 1st, 2004. After January 5th, there are no refunds available. If you register by September 1st, you will receive one of SusunÂ’s books (your choice) for free. You will also get a $100 discount if you pay for the entire trip at this time.
