Changes in employment law

One of the most significant changes to employment law in recent years will take place on 1 October 2006 with the introduction of age discrimination. Manches is hosting an employment law update at which companies will be provided with practical and up-to-date information on the very latest changes in employment law including the new rules relating to the transfer of staff on a business transfer and the use of Compromise Agreements for binding departing employees on the termination of their employment.

The update also provides details of the legal implications of health and safety law on remote working. At the seminar companies can learn about the specific issues when dealing with recruitment and dismissal under the new age discrimination regulations and will learn how to prepare your business and make it safe from claims.

Range of employment law issues covered

The annual seminar run by Manches is free and provides an overview of the changes that have taken place over the last year and gives advice on the practical aspects of implementing legal requirements. The issues covered include age discrimination, recruitment and dismissal procedures as well as a Compromise Agreements update, TUPE update, Health and Safety Update and information on Flexible working.
