Cyndy Elkins, Spa Director of Iatria Day Spa, has announced that the firmÂ’s Wakefield location will participate in the American Heart AssociationÂ’s National Wear Red Day on February 11th.

Cyndy Elkins, Spa Director of Iatria Day Spa, has announced that the firmÂ’s Wakefield location will participate in the American Heart AssociationÂ’s National Wear Red Day on February 11th. The day was founded in order to help raise awareness of heart disease as the leading cause of death in women.

As part of Go Red For Women campaign, employees will wear red clothing as well as red lapel pins in order to show their support toward raising awareness of heart disease as the number one killer of women. Iatria Day Spa will by accepting donations for the organization thru the end of the day on February 11th; clients will receive a red lapel pin for every five-dollar donation to demonstrate their support of the American Heart Association.

“We are pleased to be able to participate in National Wear Red Day. It is important that women are aware of the risks of heart disease, as well as understanding that it is the number one killer of women,” said Elkins. “We are honored to be part of the process of helping to raise that awareness level.”
