The Joint Commission Awards Recovery First, Inc. with Coveted Gold Seal Accreditation Again
Once again, The Joint Commission has awarded Recovery First, Inc., a drug rehab and substance abuse treatment center, with it’s coveted Gold Seal of Approval. This award is given only to organizations that meet the Joint Commissions standard of excellence.

Once again, The Joint Commission has awarded Recovery First, Inc., a drug rehab (http://www. recoveryfirst. org) and substance abuse treatment (http://www. recoveryfirst. org/inpatient-treatment. html) center, with it’s coveted Gold Seal of Approval. This accreditation was based on demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety, and has been continuously given to Recovery First since 2003.
Founded in 1951, The Joint Commission is dedicated to continuously improving the safety and quality of our nation’s health care through voluntary accreditation. They are the recognized leader in setting standards for the highest possible level of an organizations performance. The Joint Commission’s on-site survey of Recovery First, Inc. occurred in late December.
To gain accreditation, Recovery First, Inc. was evaluated against a set of national standards by a Joint Commission surveyor experienced in the delivery of behavioral health care services,” says Mary Cesare-Murphy, Ph. D., executive director, Behavioral Health Care Accreditation Program, Joint Commission. “Achieving accreditation demonstrates Recovery First’s commitment to provide safe, high quality care.”
