Houston, TX (PRWEB) October 14, 2010
Houston-based Encore Health Resources (http://www. encorehealthresources. com) today announced the formation of an Executive Advisory Board to provide the rapidly growing company with insight, guidance, and expertise from beyond the company walls. Board members include renowned businessman Rod Canion, founder of Compaq Computer Corporation, Ed Kopetsky, Chief Information Officer of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford in Northern California, and health information technology veteran Joe Boyd, presently the chairman of MedSynergies, Inc.
“In this time of economic instability it is more important than ever to seek expert guidance and to conduct business with the utmost integrity,” explained Dana Sellers, Encore president and CEO. “We knew asking these remarkable healthcare industry innovators to assist Encore as advisors would not only provide us invaluable professional advice, but also send a message to our clients and the healthcare IT market in general that Encore is 100% committed to being the very best in every aspect of our business.”
Ivo Nelson, Encore’s chairman believes the unique background of each Advisory Board member is the key. “Rod’s experience with banking and capital, Ed’s respected position and strategic insight, and Joe’s instincts and intuition about the industry will combine to serve Encore extremely well as we grow. We are very fortunate to have this kind of talent on our team.”
Encore was founded by Ivo Nelson and Dana Sellers, healthcare IT industry veterans and former Healthlink owner and COO respectively. Canion, Boyd and Kopetsky were each affiliated with Healthlink, one of the most successful healthcare-consulting firms in the industry. Healthlink was sold to IBM in 2005. Canion said he’s excited to be working with Nelson and Sellers again, a team he has total confidence in. “In starting Encore they’re doing much of what they did before when they made Healthlink the industry leader. Only now they have years of experience backing them up,” Canion explained. “With their experience and incredible industry reputations Encore can’t help but succeed. I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”
