Maxim Mobility, LLC, a provider of mobility equipment to the elderly and people with special needs, has recently launched a new division of their company called Maxim Plus. Maxim Plus debuted on August 1st, 2004 and specializes in various pieces of equipment made specifically for bariatric needs.
Through recent work with local medical facilities, Maxim found an increasing need for bariatric products for clients being released from hospitals. Because standard equipment doesnÂ’t always satisfy the needs of a client, Maxim felt it was important to develop an outlet that could provide customized equipment in a timely manner. This new division means great things for those clients who may have felt stranded in the past because of limited bariatric product offerings. These clients can now be independent in their homes and the community and recapture mobility and freedom.
“Maxim Plus provides a great service to those in need of heavy duty products,” said Mark Parisi the Operations Manager at Maxim Mobility LLC. “We found in the past that bariatric patients didn’t know where to turn for customized medical equipment. Maxim Plus is a specialized unit of Maxim Mobility where our main goal is to provide equipment that can handle different weight capacities and special seating and mobility needs.”
Maxim Plus offers many types of equipment including power wheelchairs, power scooters, manual wheelchairs, hospital beds, patient lifts and other durable medical equipment. Maxim Plus works with the client as well as their health care providers to supply the equipment that best meets their needs.
