Grand Hyatt Denver Launches $3.9 Million Renovation of Hotel Suites

Grand Hyatt Denver Launches $3.9 Million Renovation of Hotel Suites

Newly remodeled downtown Denver suite accommodations ready in time for the Democratic National Convention happening August 25-28, 2008.

DENVER, COLORADO (PRWEB) June 18, 2008 -

With the Democratic National Convention fast approaching, the general manager of the award-winning Grand Hyatt Denver Downtown hotel (http://granddenver. hyatt. com/hyatt/hotels/index. jsp) Ed Bucholtz announces a $3.9 million renovation of the property's premier downtown Denver hotel suites (http://granddenver. hyatt. com/hyatt/hotels/rooms/room-description. jsp) , plus the Grand Club (http://granddenver. hyatt. com/hyatt/hotels/rooms/room-description. jsp). More than $350,000 will go into updating each three-room unit, the largest measuring close to 800 square feet, promising that they will be like none-other in the Mile High City. The over-the-top design of the newly renovated downtown Denver suites at Grand Hyatt includes millwork with custom crown molding and rich, warm woodwork, complemented with punches of bright color. The timeless, classic residential feel carries into the bath - which features television sets embedded in the mirrors, vessel sinks set atop a cantilevered vanity and ceramic tile walls surrounding a free-standing bathtub. Glass graces the upper portion of the walls that separate this space from the sleeping area.

Newly Restyled Denver Hotel Suites at Grand Hyatt Embody Modern Luxury
The Grand Hyatt Denver suites embrace the great room concept that is so prevalent in home design today, and - in keeping with the latest trends - are void of a formal dining area. All are singularly appointed, incorporating a custom color palette that has been created for each. Accents of fresh, natural greens and blues to striking oranges and golds play off of dark brown and contrasting tan walnut case pieces and the genuine leather furnishings. The large, built-in LCD television set is easily viewed from anywhere in the room incorporating elements reminiscent of home that are not generally found in hotel accommodations. Parlor entryways are granite-touched as are the kitchenettes, which are offset by deep-toned cabinetry.

Certainly, today's societal concern for the environment is carefully considered. To answer that, the Grand Hyatt Denver design team insured that each accommodation is fully equipped with the most up-to-date and technically savvy, energy-saving devices - from individual, digitally controlled thermostats to fixtures that conserve water to florescent light bulbs. Structurally, these high-tech Denver suites (http://granddenver. hyatt. com/hyatt/hotels/rooms/room-description. jsp) are completely re-engineered with this goal in mind, achieving it with reconfigured walls and ceilings that capture and contain air to maintain rooms at a proper temperature with minimal energy consumption. Even the elevators that deliver hotel guests to the top floors where these suites are housed have been re-tooled for efficiency and speed of service.

Grand Hyatt Denver Houses Colorado Contingent
During the Democratic National Convention, the AAA Four Diamond Grand Hyatt Downtown Denver hotel (http://granddenver. hyatt. com/hyatt/hotels/index. jsp) hosts the Colorado delegation. It is located one block from the Mile-High City's hub, the Sixteenth Street Mall, a simple walk to the Colorado Convention Center and 1.5 miles from the Pepsi Center, the site of the Democratic National Convention. The Grand Hyatt boasts the premier banquet facility in Denver, The Pinnacle Club by Grand Hyatt (http://www. hyatt. com/gallery/pinnacle/) , which will see solid activity throughout the five-day world-focused convention. From this vantage point on the 38th floor of the adjoining office tower, the entire Rocky Mountain front range is clearly visible - from Pikes Peak to the Wyoming border - with the city skyline in the foreground. Additionally, the property provides 512 downtown Denver hotel rooms (http://granddenver. hyatt. com/hyatt/hotels/rooms/room-description. jsp) - some of the region's most spacious - each featuring the Hyatt Grand Bed, high-speed Internet access, well-lit work stations and complimentary access to the health club, indoor pool and outdoor whirlpool, tennis court and jogging track. The restaurant, 1876, named for the year Colorado became a state, this summer features a special prix-fixe menu for just $52.80 per couple - incorporating products, herbs and spices indigenous to the area and calling to mind the fact that Denver is one mile, or 5280 feet, above sea level.
