This intensive training offers several weeks of actual work performed in nearby hospitals and related medical facilities, working side-by-side with registered nurses and doctors. Completion of this course will prepare its students to take the Virginia Board of Nursing examination to become a Certified Nurse Aide and demonstrate the added skills that are needed by the medical industry. A Tidewater Tech graduate will then have a wide range of opportunities or entry level positions as a Patient Care Technician, Med Tech, EKG Technician or Home Health Aide.
