Local Amputees Invited to Experience the C-Leg® - The World's First Completely Computer-Controlled Prosthetic Leg

Lower extremity amputees, their families, friends, care givers, and health care and medical professionals who are interested in the latest advancements in lower extremity prosthetic technology are invited to attend the C-Leg RoadShow August 28, 2008 at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopedic Hospital at 1225 15th Street, Santa Monica, CA.

Lower extremity amputees, their families, friends, care givers, and health care and medical professionals who are interested in the latest advancements in lower extremity prosthetic technology are invited to attend the C-Leg RoadShow August 28, 2008 at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopedic Hospital at 1225 15th Street, Santa Monica, CA.

Otto Bock Healthcare in conjunction with OrthoPros and biodesigns, are allowing above - knee amputees the ability to actually experience the computer-controlled C-Leg® and Compact™ - two artificial legs that are a leap in prosthetics and a dramatic improvement over other lower limb prosthetics.

Following the patient fitting the morning of the 28th, there will be an informational session from noon to 2 p. m. where Dr. James Breakey will be answering questions and discussing the C-Leg's technology, function and performance.

Randall Alley, CEO and CP, of biodesigns, will be discussing the High-Fidelity Interface, a revolutionary lower and upper extremity prosthetic interface (socket) that increases functionality, range of motion, decreases heat, and is ideal for active individuals who demand a better fitting and performing prosthesis. A complimentary lunch will be served.

About the C-Leg and Compact:

About James Breakey:
Dr. Breakey is in his fourth decade of involvement in the prosthetic rehabilitation of amputees and is both nationally and internationally known in the field of Prosthetics. Besides being a American Board Certified Prosthetist, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, a Master's of Science degree in Anatomy, and a Master's and PhD in Psychology. He has instructed over 50 C-Leg courses and seminars and participated in numerous C-Leg RoadShows.

About Randall Alley:
