The Davis Center, the worldÂ’s most comprehensive sound therapy center, will dedicate its April Open House, to be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 from 7:00pm-9:00pm at 98 Route 45 West, Budd Lake, New Jersey to Autism Awareness.

With over 1 in 166 children today diagnosed with Autism, this has quickly become a leading disability affecting children. The Autism Society of America has announced April as Autism Awareness month and The Davis Center joins the campaign to raise awareness.

“Autism is a real threat in America and we need to get people to learn more about the causes, how to cope and most of all, what therapies are helpful for those who live with Autism. We've been silent too long and now its time to start sharing information and networking to find better solutions and resources in our communities.”, Adds Betsy Hicks, Author and Autism One Host of The Path to Wellness program.

The Davis Center is the most comprehensive sound therapy center in the world and uses a unique Diagnostic Evaluation for Therapy Protocol (DETP)to identify core issues in the areas of auditory processing, learning, development and wellness for people of all ages. We offer remedial and/ or enhancement therapies that address challenges related to Autism, ADD, ADHD, APD, Apraxia, Dyslexia, Hyperlexia, Downs Syndrome, Williams Syndrome, learning disabilities, central auditory processing (CAPD), other minor learning / attention / focus related skills, and health and wellness issues. “Sound Therapy can help with a child’s overall development, from body movement and coordination to language and social interaction. My role is to offer those methods that have demonstrated successes in achieving and maintaining positive changes for our clients.” explains Ms. Davis. “Over 65% of our clients are affected by Autism and we want people to know how we can help them.”

Information packets include case studies and valuable detailed descriptions on several sound therapies offered. Learn how Sound Therapy can enhance the lives of your loved ones, help those with difficulties with spelling, writing, reading comprehension, and sound sensitivities and participate in a question & answer session with Dorinne Davis.
