Dynamic Imaging Launches IntegradWeb RIS/PACS at SIIM 2007

Dynamic Imaging Launches IntegradWeb RIS/PACS at SIIM 2007

Product demonstrations reflect robust offerings for new and replacement solutions.

Allendale, NJ (PRWEB) May 1, 2007

Dynamic Imaging (www. dynamic-imaging. com), an established leader in Web-based image and information management, announced today the general release of IntegradWeb® RIS/PACS: the industry’s all inclusive, unified solution for ambulatory imaging centers and radiology group practices. Highlighting completion of the IntegradWeb RIS/PACS beta program were successful implementations at Liberty Pacific Medical Imaging, LLC (LPMI) facilities in California and Ohio. Dynamic Imaging will demonstrate the full suite of IntegradWeb solutions at Booth #837 at the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) 2007 Conference, June 7-10, 2007, in Providence, Rhode Island. Dynamic Imaging has provided an unrestricted educational grant to SIIM in support of the SIIM 2007 Hot Topic Session: PACS/RIS Replacement, led by David Avrin, MD, PhD, on Friday, June 8, 2007, from 8:30–9:30AM. Dynamic Imaging will also convene the inaugural meeting of the DIAMOND User Group in Providence, on June 6, 2007.

Integrating end-to-end Web-based workflow leveraging the IntegradWeb RIS/PACS architectural platform allows Dynamic Imaging to offer ambulatory facilities a powerful, unified radiology desktop. Best–practice workflow includes scheduling through billing, fueled by the industry’s #1 ranked ambulatory PACS by KLAS (www. healthcomputing. com) for two years in a row (Ambulatory/Imaging Center PACS 2006 Report (11/06), Ambulatory/Imaging Center PACS 2005 Report (11/05)).

“The biggest advantages of an integrated system are cost and time savings. These are achieved, in part, by eliminating the need to deal with two separate support teams for RIS and PACS,” explained Steven Renard, president and COO of LPMI, who was recently named one of the Top 25 Innovators in Healthcare for 2007 by Health Imaging & IT magazine.

Based in Encino, California, LPMI operates outpatient medical diagnostic imaging centers with a national reputation for excellence and brings the latest in cutting-edge technologies to the communities it serves. LPMI had previously purchased separate RIS and PACS solutions in its Encino and Long Beach, California facilities, but installed integrated IntegradWeb RIS/PACS in its new centers: Advanced Medical Imaging in Castro Valley, California and Dynamic Medical Imaging in Columbus, Ohio.

“After significant due diligence, we selected Dynamic Imaging because of its strong customer support team, product integration and outstanding reputation,” Renard said. Reflecting a growing market trend for replacement PACS and RIS/PACS, Renard added that LPMI plans to replace the systems at Encino and Long Beach with IntegradWeb RIS/PACS. “Dynamic Imaging provided smoother implementation than other PACS vendors I have used and the results have been impressive,” he said.

IntegradWeb RIS/PACS includes the following intelligent, complementary information management application modules:
Enterprise Scheduling Pre-certification Workflow Clinical Workflow (Tech Log) Document Management Exam Visualization, Transcription, and Dictation Distribution and Storage Billing and Claims Management Management Reporting

Each of these modules work together seamlessly to provide ambulatory organizations the ability to utilize best–practice workflow by eliminating traditional bottlenecks. IntegradWeb RIS/PACS tracks the patient encounter from scheduling through the entire billing process requiring the necessary information at each stage. In this fashion, IntegradWeb RIS/PACS establishes workflow that ensures each user enters all of the required information to create an acceptable insurance claim the first time through, resulting in a positive impact on billing outcomes. The bottom line: IntegradWeb RIS/PACS empowers ambulatory organizations to capture the correct information early, which reduces accounts receivable cycle time, allowing for faster claims collections, thus improving overall cash flow through better workflow.

IntegradWeb Demonstrations at SIIM 2007

Demonstrations at SIIM 2007 will include IntegradWeb RIS/PACS, IntegradWeb PACS version 3.7 with a full complement of integrations to the industry’s best clinical applications, as well as the IHE standard, IntegradWeb MAMMO. These products have the flexibility to meet the clinical and business needs of ambulatory and acute care facilities seeking new or replacement solutions. Replacement strategies are of increasing interest to healthcare organizations seeking to remain competitive in today’s challenging healthcare environment.

The following product highlights will be demonstrated at SIIM 2007:

IntegradWeb PACS Version 3.7. The latest release of IntegradWeb PACS will be demonstrated to include numerous performance and scalability advancements, maintaining IntegradWeb PACS’ position as the most powerful Web-based PACS platform available. With version 3.7, IntegradWeb PACS will scale to 1 million annual PACS exams and beyond. Dynamic Imaging has also enhanced the performance of the IntegradWeb PACS image viewer, significantly reducing the time to view the first image regardless of study size, as well as approximately doubling the speed of study processing. In addition, this latest version will include support of enterprise master patient index (EMPI) utilized by multi-facility organizations, ensuring all relevant priors can be reviewed regardless of patient medical record number (MRN) or where the studies were imaged across the healthcare enterprise.

IntegradWeb MAMMO. Dynamic Imaging was one of five elite vendors that participated in the IHE demonstration of the IHE Mammography Profile at the Society of Breast Imaging 8th Postgraduate Course held April 14-17, 2007, in Hollywood, Florida. At SIIM, Dynamic Imaging will demonstrate complete digital mammography-specific workflows that include customizable reading layouts and sequences for any third-party full-field digital mammography system, as well as automatic retrieval and display of priors. Also included with IntegradWeb MAMMO is support for digital mammography computer aided detection (CAD). CAD markings are applied to the original digital mammography study and can be archived for future reference. Because digital mammography studies are treated like all other modalities, users can take advantage of the rich functionality of IntegradWeb PACS to include anywhere access, saving key images for referring physicians’ print pages, as well as portable data for imaging (PDI)-compliant CD burning and importing outside PDI CDs.

AutoFetch. This innovative new functionality speeds local and remote reading workflow for digital mammography interpretation as well as for all other modality types. AutoFetch is enabled via IntegradWeb PACS’ Study List. It automatically retrieves prioritized unread studies and their relevant priors to the local workstation regardless of location and optimizes performance regardless of the network bandwidth. These studies are temporarily stored to local memory, not the local cache, thus safeguarding the temporary storage of protected health information (PHI). Competing PACS approaches such as pre-fetching or auto-caching that store to the local cache may leave PHI data exposed to potential HIPAA violations.

PET/CT. IntegradWeb PACS will be demonstrated with enhanced, integrated PET/CT functionality, including the display of multiple, simultaneous, three-dimensional PET/CT views for the reading radiologist. Enhanced PET/CT functionality is currently under development and will be demonstrated as a work-in-progress.

DIAMOND Inaugural Meeting

In addition to Dynamic Imaging’s technical exhibition, SIIM 2007 also marks the inaugural meeting of Dynamic Imaging Associated Members Organized for Networking & Discussion (DIAMOND). The all-day DIAMOND meeting is planned for June 6, 2007, the day prior to SIIM 2007, from 8am – 5pm at The Westin Providence Hotel (Kent/Bristol Rooms), Providence, Rhode Island.
