Deliberate Living, a life coaching practice, is offering a new program tailored specifically for physicians. This program recognizes that the stressors physicians face on the job often lead to problems in their personal lives. It is designed to help physicians learn key strategies to decrease stress and find success related to marital problems, divorce situations, difficulty connecting with their children, and/or dating issues.
Jennifer Viemont, president of Deliberate Living, explains, “Physicians are known to be resistant to seeking help for personal problems. I believe that it is less about resistance and more due to a lack of resources. Where are they supposed to turn for help getting through a divorce, adjusting to a single life or finding balance in life? These aren’t mental health issues and traditional counseling programs don’t serve physicians well due to scheduling issues and a lack of solution focused strategies.” Deliberate Living’s program recognized these issues and can help physicians make positive life changes and learn skills to find success in their personal lives.
Deliberate Living's physician program is goal-directed and action-oriented. Physicians are trained, consulted with and coached on key strategies and skills to either save their marriage, reduce conflict in a divorce, establish a strong relationship with their children, and/or enjoy and be successful in the dating world. Coaching is provided over the phone, so it is convenient and has no geographical limitations.
Jennifer Viemont received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Loyola University Chicago and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received her life coach training at the Institute for Life Coach Training and is a member of Coachville and the International Coaching Federation.
