Oak Brook, Ill (Vocus) October 15, 2010 –

The University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) (https://www. uhc. edu) today announced it has expanded the scope of its 3-year agreement with Morehead Associates, (http://www. moreheadassociates. com) based in Charlotte, NC. The original agreement for employee satisfaction surveys and consulting services was executed in April, 2009. The new agreement provides UHC’s more than 107 academic medical centers and 241 affiliated hospitals with access to contracts for Morehead’s physician surveys and consulting, effective September 15, 2010.

The UHC-Morehead partnership has given Morehead the opportunity to work with more than 50 UHC member academic medical centers. The employee satisfaction and consulting services have been undertaken to illuminate critical issues and identify the most effective means of improving those key aspects of member health care organizations.

With this extended contract, Morehead will offer UHC member hospitals, on a discounted basis, an extensive array of customized surveys and analyses to measure and drive physician engagement, as they have been with employee engagement. Research shows engaged physicians and employees are linked to positive business outcomes such as patient satisfaction, safety, quality healthcare, and financial stability. Morehead will also provide its extensive suite of employee and physician normative benchmarks to help interpret survey results and prioritize improvement initiatives. These national and hospital benchmarks are drawn from Morehead’s extensive client base, which includes nearly 43% of the U. S News and World Report’s Honor Roll Hospitals.

Cindy White, vice president, Operations and Supply Optimization Services, says, “Morehead’s experts have proven to be trusted advisors to UHC members. Their research-based, pragmatic approach and practical tools have positively impacted results by helping our members maximize their human capital.”

Brad Morton, Morehead’s senior vice president of Product Management explains, “We are very proud that our partnership with such a well-respected organization as UHC continues to grow. We share a commitment to helping their members create and maintain an engaged workforce of employees and physicians and ultimately provide better health care to the communities they serve.”
