Leading mobile development agency Resolute Digital released an interactive holiday mobile application in partnership with Parents

Parents, part of the Meredith Women's Network, released the Carve-A-Pumpkin Application for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad use. Resolute Digital, a full-service New York City-based digital marketing agency, worked with the staff at Parents to design and develop the app. Resolute has also built websites, web-based applications, social media-based widgets, mobile apps and content management systems for other partners in the Meredith Women's Network. Resolute Digital's partnership with the magazine has filled the growing need for mobile apps that appeal to parents who want child friendly applications to share with their families.
Carve-A-Pumpkin costs just $0.99 and allows users to carve a pumpkin using either freehand "carving" or drag-and-drop facial features and faces. Resolute Digital took special care in designing different sized navigation screens in order for for the Carve-A-Pumpkin app to both look beautiful and function perfectly on the iPhone and the iPad. Once satisfied with their pumpkin creations, users are encouraged to share their creations via Facebook, Twitter or email. The viral element of the app is what makes it unique, as social media and mobile app are fused in one simple, skillfully designed Halloween platform.
Managing Partner Jarod Caporino explains that "We noticed that a lot of apps weren't involved with Halloween. We wanted to make something really special and knew that integrating social media into the app would allow users to share -- and celebrate -- in a new, fun way." Carve-A-Pumpkin was featured in both the "What's Hot" and "New and Noteworthy" lists in the App Store upon its release.
