La Briute Meals in-store demo promotion called a major success

La Briute Meals in-store demo promotion called a major success

On July 15th, 2004 , an exciting event took place at the Key Foods Supermarket in Woodmere, New York.

(PRWEB) July 20, 2004

The residents of this affluent Long Island community were being introduced to La Briute Meals by means of an in-store demonstration. These are all natural, Kosher meals that utilize cutting-edge technology. First, they have a refrigeration-free shelf-life of 24 months, which is unprecendeted in today's market; secondly, the Flameless Heat-up option of creating a hot, nutritious Kosher meal wherever...whenever...is also quite revolutionary and therefore created a huge buzz within the store. So much so when a consumer named Elie Korn was asked what he thought about this product he replied "This is amazingly convenient and really makes my life much easier especially when I am time crunched in my office and can't get out for lunch".

Paul Schimmenti, the store manager, said: “ The demonstration was very well received. Since the demo took place, we have seen strong repeat purchase. Beef Stew Vegetables Entree, Meatballs and Spaghetti, and the Vegetarian Stuffed Cabbage have proven to be favorites with our customers.”

La Briute (which means “to your health” ) comes equipped with a water-activated "flameless" self-heater that warms up a hot nutritious meal in minutes. Six meals are currently available: Beef Stew Vegetables, Chicken Primavera with Noodles, Turkey and Mashed Potatoes and gravy, Cheese Ravioli in Italion Tomato Sauce, Meatballs and Spaghetti, and Vegetarian Stuffed Cabbage in sweet raisin tomato sauce. All meals include a soup and snack as well all necessary utensils and condiments – tray, fork, napkin – even salt and pepper. All meals are certified kosher by the nationally respected Kof-K certifying agency. The suggested retail price for each package is $7.99.

Abe Hlaberstam, inventor and president of LaBruite Meals, says: “We have designed this product to appeal to the growing demand of the convenience segment. In-office consumption for a lunch purchase is becoming a very strong trend today, and therefore, this product can create an alternative solution for the convenience shopper.”

In the near future, Schimmenti plans to have additional La Bruite demos at his store as well as at other Key Foods Supermarkets in the greater metropolitan area.

According to Meyer Futersak, director of marketing for Labriute Meals "efforts to establish additional in-store promotion are underway that will educate more consumers that Labriute meals is truly a new wave within the growing convenience segment.
