FASTAFF Travel Nurses Recognize Dedicated Recruiter with Top Honor

FASTAFF Travel Nurses Recognize Dedicated Recruiter with Top Honor

FASTAFF Travel Nursing, a leader in the travel healthcare staffing industry

Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 7, 2008

FASTAFF Travel Nursing, a national travel healthcare staffing agency, recently named Titus Thomas as its Recruiter of the Year. Each year FASTAFF nurses nominate their favorite recruiter, so the award is especially meaningful to each winner because the honor is given to them by the nurses they work with.

"Because this award comes from the nurses, it's a big compliment, and it means a lot," said Thomas. "I enjoy my job and getting to know the nurses. They're a special group."

Thomas is a recruiter and recruiter manager with FASTAFF. He started with the travel nursing agency in May 2000 and left at the end of 2004 to pursue another opportunity. Recognizing that nurse recruiting is really what he enjoys most, he rejoined FASTAFF in 2007 and remains one of the company's best recruiters.

FASTAFF specializes in rapid response travel healthcare staffing, which involves placing nurses on short-term assignments across the country, often within a week of receiving an order from a healthcare facility. For Thomas, getting to know the travel nurses and understanding their needs and the pressures of the job are what makes him and FASTAFF so successful.

"I enjoy getting to know the nurses, and I am often more than just a recruiter," said Thomas. "Sometimes I'm a career counselor, a therapist and even a friend. I have solid relationships with my nurses, and I get great satisfaction knowing that I can impact their lives."

Thomas has placed travel nurses in assignments that have enabled them to achieve financial goals, obtain more flexibility to spend time with their families or pursue other interests, and gain the freedom to travel and take on assignments that fit their specific needs.

Prior to joining FASTAFF, Thomas was a recruiter in the IT industry. He was born in India but has been in Colorado since 1980. He's a graduate from the University of Colorado with a degree in psychology and communication. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three-year-old son and playing volleyball.
