Florida Green Building Coalition Awards "Green Hammer" During Green Trends Conference

The "Green Hammer" is given to individuals who are instrumental in bringing the concept of building residential and commercial buildings - "Green" meaning environmentally friendly and sustainable into the future. In building to the FGBC Standards, and receiving certification, a developer or builder has committed themselves to better building practices which maintains the integrity of the surrounding and living environments. Drew Smith was instrumental in the development of FGBCÂ’s Green Standards. Drew has been involved in educating builders and developers in the affordability and value that building a property Green can bring to a project. He has been responsible for bringing several projects not only local recognition, but national awards for achieving standards that far exceed traditional building standards. Drew has spoken at the South Eastern Builders Conference (SEBC) and Green Tends Conference on the "Sustainability of Building Green"; once a project is complete how to maintain that facility in order to keep it Green for the future. Drew's commitment to building and maintaining Green Projects is what lead him to form Two Trails, Inc. His company is focused around "Preventative Property Maintenance" and "Green Consulting" which goes hand in hand with his involvement with FGBC. To be a founding member of FGBC is an accomplishment in itself.
