Longmont Area Economic Council Co-Sponsors CSIA DEMOGala October 20

The Longmont Area Economic Council (LAEC) is a co-sponsor of the inaugural CSIA DEMOGala, to be held Thursday, October 20th at the Colorado Convention Center Main Ballrooms. The DEMOGala is expected to be a highlight of Colorado Tech Week, attracting more than 1,500 Colorado leaders in business and technology.

The DEMO Showcase and Reception will be held from 4:30 to 6:45 p. m. Dinner will be served from 7:00 to 9:00 p. m., and Meg Whitman, president and CEO of eBay will present a keynote address. Attendees will learn how Colorado's innovative technologies are changing industries worldwide.

LAEC's presence at the event will support demonstrations by two Longmont companies, Seagate and Digital Globe. A total of 28 Colorado companies will demonstrate their products in areas such as RFID, IT, software, aviation technology, photonics, robotics, energy, GPS, forensics, healthcare, bioscience and more.

Ten percent of net proceeds will be donated to the Louisiana Tech Council, a sister IT organization of CSIA, to help the technology community affected by Hurricane Katrina.
