JProxy, LLC (http://www. jproxy. com (http://www. jproxy. com)), an innovation leader in distributed computing technologies, has been selected by Agfa (http://www. agfa. com (http://www. agfa. com)), a worldwide leader in digital imaging solutions, to utilize JProxy to bring the functionality of Agfa's IMPAX WEB1000 5.0 software to healthcare facilities and clinicians anywhere in the world.
IMPAX WEB1000 5.0 software offers on-demand synchronized and secure access to clinical results anywhere, anytime via a web browser using JProxy's client small enterprise runtime footprint.
The IMPAX WEB1000 DICOM Web Server with embedded JProxy software, provides PACS administrators, radiologists and clinicians with on-demand, cost-effective, secure access to images and reports from virtually any location - including any department, office or home. PACS and other modalities push images to the IMPAX WEB1000 server, and at the user's option will store the images in either lossless or lossy format. Authorized users can then access images from the server from any location using a web browser.
JProxy software seamlessly integrates with the Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EEÂ) technology stack used by IMPAX WEB1000, which enables the user to quickly launch a web browser while preserving security and responsiveness to user requests.
"We are very pleased that JProxy's product has been selected by Agfa. JProxy is about simplifying enterprise Sun Java development, deployment and delivering rich thin enterprise clients onto the user's web browsers. Agfa's deployment of JProxy demonstrates that it is possible to deliver highly complex graphical user Interfaces that remotely access application servers and yet remain very thin and instantly available at any location," said Eugene Yakushev, the President and co-founder of JProxy, LLC.
"This is another example of Agfa's ability to integrate 'best of breed' third party solutions into its product lines to further enhance our customers' experience" said Dave Wilson, Global PACS Marketing Manager, Agfa HealthCare. "We are glad to have teamed with JProxy to improve upon our IMPAX WEB1000 software's performance. Agfa strives to build upon its solid foundation as a leading PACS provider and improving relationships such as the one with JProxy."

About JProxy, LLC
JProxy, LLC is a software research and development company that concentrates on innovative implementations that enhance current distributed computing paradigms. JProxy, LLC provides new distributed tools to the development community and businesses. Our flagship product, JProxy, is a generic, declarative Java Remoting System implemented in pure Sun Java technology, which allows remoting an arbitrary Java interface with no code change. JProxy software consists of a thin client runtime (about 100 KB) and a generic, declarative remoter server. JProxy software uses HTTP protocol as a transport to enable Java systems to communicate over the Internet networks and integrates with most popular Application Servers and Servlet Engines.
