Consona Corporation Among America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

Consona Corporation moves up 1,000 spots compared to 2007; ranks second in growth among software companies of similar size.

New York, NY (Vocus) September 25, 2008

Consona Corporation (Consona), a leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and customer relationship management (CRM) software and services for the enterprise, today announced its inclusion in the annual Inc. 5000 ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the country.

Consona has experienced considerable growth in the past year, as demonstrated by the company’s gain of more than 1000 places in the Inc. 5000 ranking, jumping from no. 2134 in 2007 to no. 1129 this year. Also notable is that among the companies listed in 2008, Consona ranks second in growth among software companies with revenues exceeding $100 million.

The list is the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy -- America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs. Taken as a whole, these companies represent the backbone of the U. S. economy.

“Our second annual Inc. 5000 continues the most ambitious project in business journalism,” said Inc. 5000 Project Manager Jim Melloan. “The Inc. 5000 gives an unrivaled portrait of young, underreported companies across all industries doing fascinating things with cutting-edge business models, as well as older companies that are still showing impressive growth.”

“This recognition by Inc. shows solid evidence of Consona’s continued leadership in software industry growth,” said Consona CEO Jeff Tognoni. “The significant boost in our ranking from the past year is a testament to the successful balance we are able to strike between an aggressive growth and acquisition strategy, and providing innovative, customer-focused technology solutions that truly meet our customers’ unique needs. We are very pleased with the results of this year’s Inc. 5000 ranking.”

The 5000 companies that made the list reported aggregate revenue of $185 billion and median three-year growth of 147 percent. Most important, the 2008 Inc. 5000 companies were engines of job growth, having created more than 826,033 jobs since those companies were founded. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and a list of the fastest-growing companies that can be sorted by industry and region can be found at www. inc5000.com.

The 2008 Inc. 5000 list measures revenue growth from 2004 through 2007. To qualify, companies must be U. S.-based and privately held, for profit, independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies -- as of December 31, 2007, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2004, and $2 million in 2007.
