Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) November 9, 2010
GlobalMedia Group, the leader in innovative telemedicine design, today announced that its unique TotalExam™ examination camera is now available in four models. The lightweight, easy-to-hold, easy-to-use digital video camera comes with an onboard light carousel featuring three LED white light intensities for use domestically. Partnered with CapSure®, GlobalMedia’s exclusive Image Automation software, TotalExam can produce crystal clear digital images that can be saved to a computer file. With GlobalMedia’s CONi™ Services, the images can be preserved with DICOM information in an EMR or Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS).
For international use, there are two TotalExam models – a National Television System Committee (NTSC) version for use in countries like Canada, Japan, the Philippines and South Korea where it is the TV standard; and a Phase Alternating Line (PAL) version for Australia, South Africa and most European countries whose televisions work with higher video resolution. The international models feature both white lights and two ultra-violet LED settings.
A fourth version of the TotalExam is for non-medical uses. It too features both white and UV LEDs. Teamed with a tablet computer system like GlobalMedia’s FirstAV™ and CapSure, its UV LEDs can help forensic scientists search for blood, urine, saliva and semen traces at crime scenes, and then transmit live video via 3G/4G or save the images for use in criminal cases. Fire investigators can use the same system to locate and capture images showing that an arson accelerant started a fire. Mechanics can use TotalExam to identify leaks by different, easily distinguishable fluorescent colors, such as those involving differential oil, wheel bearings, air conditioning systems and brake fluid. The camera’s small size and lighting system provide visual access to otherwise hard-to-see areas.
GlobalMedia Managing Director Joel E. Barthelemy said, “I am very proud of our team for listening and responding with an innovative solution to meet the needs of the global market.”
