NYIT Appoints New Director of Career Services
Charlene DeGregoria is named as the new Director of Career Services at NYIT.

New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) announces the recent promotion and appointment of Charlene DeGregoria as the new Director of Career Services at NYIT.
In her new position, Ms. DeGregoria will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and college-wide Career Management programming for the Office of Career Services, as well as managing Career Services staff. She will lead and provide strategic direction and activities that help prepare NYIT students and alumni for the workplace through group and individual counseling and workshops. Ms. DeGregoria will also establish sustainable activities to engage NYIT faculty and staff on the Manhattan and Old Westbury campuses to enable and ensure that Career Services delivers on the college’s promise of providing career-oriented education that benefits students.
“I enjoy working at NYIT, and I especially love the hard working and dedicated people in my department,” said Ms. DeGregoria. “It’s so rewarding to work directly with our students, and develop partnerships with faculty and staff who are devoted to seeing our students achieve meaningful careers. I have one of the best jobs on campus because I get to help students realize their dreams and witness their success.”
Ms. DeGregoria has sound expertise in developing and maintaining relationships with faculty, academic departments, and students. She brings over 20 years of experience in the field of Higher Education Student Services Administration to the college, and has spent the last seven years as the Associate Director of Career Services at NYIT.
Ms. DeGregoria earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Hunter College of the City of New York, where she also earned a Master of Arts degree in College Counseling and Student Development. She has served on a range of committees at NYIT and at the Metropolitan New York College Career Planning Officers Association (MYNCCPOA) with the Alva Cooper Awards committee for “best practices” in Career Services programming.
