FootHealthNetwork. com Celebrates American Diabetes Month

With Informative Live On-Line Chat November 21

Hackensack, NJ (November 2, 1999) – FootHealthNetwork. com, the world's first all-inclusive foot health website, will celebrate American Diabetes Month this November by hosting an enlightening and informative chat on November 21, from 7:00 - 9:00 p. m. Those who suffer from diabetes, as well as those who would like more information about diabetic foot protection, will have the opportunity to participate in an informal session with Dr. Justin Wernick, D. P.M., recipient of the prestigious Podiatrist of the Year award in 1975, and Advisory Board Member to FootHealthNetwork. com. Jerome S. Klein, C. O., C. Ped., Director of Pedorthics at Apex Foot Health Industries, Inc. will be joining in on the chat as well.

Says Dr. Wernick, "Many of the sixteen million Americans who suffer from diabetes are unaware that there are solutions that can help prevent the foot ulcerations that result in 67,000 amputations annually. Our goal during American Diabetes Month is to make the public aware of the wealth of readily available information associated with this disease and its effect on the feet. Visitors joining the chat will have the opportunity to ask specific questions on their own behalf or on behalf of their loved ones. Mr. Klein and I will make it a point to ensure that participants leave our chat with new strategies regarding preventative foot management."

FootHealthNetwork. com is the web's most comprehensive foot health website; yet it is fun and easy to use. In fact, only four days after its launch, it received USA Today's "hot site" designation. With an extensive listing of foot disorders—fully described in non-technical terms for easy identification—and suggested solutions, including product recommendations, FootHealthNetwork. com has become the primary source for up-to-date footcare information. FootHealthNetwork. com can also be accessed in English, Portuguese, French, Spanish, German and Italian.

FootHealthNetwork. com is dedicated to educating the public about foot health, creating forums for consumers to communicate with foot health professionals, and most importantly, eliminating unnecessary foot pain.
