The firm provides case management and consulting services for catastrophic injuries, life care planning, chronic disease management, developmental disabilities and elder care management in southeastern Michigan, Ohio and Florida.

Farmington Hills, MI (PRWEB) December 8, 2009 –-

Feinberg Consulting announced today the launch of a Case Management Mentorship Program to promote personal and professional development for their newly hired case managers.

“Our mentorship program is one more addition to our goal of providing the highest quality case management to our clients,” said Pam Feinberg-Rivkin, president of Feinberg Consulting in Farmington Hills. “Our new hires are typically experienced healthcare or social work professionals with backgrounds in various aspects of case management.”

The mentorship program was created to give new case managers clinical training, support and oversight from experienced case managers. The program promotes the trainee’s growth through direct case involvement and experience in improving a patient well being and healthcare outcomes.

Mentors are responsible for the clinical orientation of the new case managers including evaluations, client reports, case coordination, planning and clinical problem resolutions. They also help them develop the unique skills required for case management and assist them in achieving case management certification.

Case management is a collaborative process that evaluates and assesses the options and services required to meet the client's health and human services needs, develops and implements a plan for meeting those needs and provides ongoing coordination and monitoring to ensure high quality outcomes. It is characterized by advocacy, communication, and resource management to promote quality and cost-effective interventions and outcomes.

Feinberg is licensed as a registered nurse and certified as a rehabilitation nurse and case manager. She is the past president of the Case Management Society of America – Detroit Chapter and a member of several professional organizations including the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers and the Michigan Society of Gerontology.

Feinberg Consulting is located at 29226 Orchard Lake Road, Suite 120, Farmington Hills.
